Carlie C's IGA — Local services in Bennettsville

Yesterday I was in shopping and while I was in line, I saw a gentleman in line behind me, I saw he was holding ( 1 item ) I said please go ahead of me, I had a full cart of groceries. He said thank you. I continue putting my groceries on the belt, he looked at me and said I would to help pay for your groceries, I responded by saying, you don’t have to I have a lot of groceries here , but thank you for the kind thought. Then he said I am going to pay for your groceries today! I said thank you. He paid for his 1 thing and went on his way. The cashier got done scanning my groceries and told me my total, then said the gentleman gave me $50 towards your groceries. ( he was already gone) I stood there crying to know how good people can really be!! I don’t know who he was so I could not thank for how he made me feel for what he did for me. I sat in my car crying about what had just happened to me at Carl’s . There really are angles all around us, just take one moment out of your busy day and help someone. We need more of this in this crazy world today! What a true blessing I received today while shopping at Carl’s Thank you this will never be...

Everyone I saw was wearing masks. Things were about where I expected them to be. I was looking for one unusual item...which they had in stock - "Blenheim Ginger Ale". In general, you can only find this in South Carolina. They had oodles of them (some type of sale this week). The only issue for me, was that they didn't have the sugar free version. Maybe they ran out, but I was looking for a specific type (no sugar) of an unusual brand. I was able to get some diet Blenheim Ginger Ale before I left the state, just not from Carl's. Everyone friendly and helpful! Especially Diner area !! ((UPDATE. NOV 24. !)) After spending 100's of dollars since my last review , i was taken back when I was refused request to exchange table cloths for another size!!?? The lady at the counter was obviously having a bad day ! A simple scan of the bar code tells you its their item !! When you buy from Carlie'cs you better know its yours and remember Mr. DANIELS and his Dad are no longer in charge !! I'm just glad it wasn't bad food as I'd probably be writing this review from a cold...
