Went there on Saturday the 9th with 6 people. We were told by the club house that it was fine for us to do a 3v3 scramble. We had set up 2 tee times and showed up on time to play. Started late behind a group of 4 that we kept up with for the first 9 until they finished. At the start of the back 9 the ranger comes up to 2 of the people from our group and tells them we need to split up because people will complain then drives off. Mind you there is no one behind us and during the first 9 we moved away from a group of 3 players. After he says this 2 players drive up to the 10th hole tee box. We finish the 10th hole and regroup to talk about what was said on the tee box of the 11th hole. We came to the conclusion that he must not have been informed by the club house that this scramble was fine. Continue to play as a group and move 4 holes forward. The group of 2 was 2 holes behind us at this point. The ranger then comes up again, yells at the 2 people he initially talked to and then comes over to 3 of us, talks to us like children and says he doesn’t care if we’re doing a scramble or not and that if we do not separate right at this moment he will kick us off the course. Completely ruined the feeling in all of us. We finished up separately, moved even slower than when we were all together, and then complained to the clubhouse when it was over. None of us were misbehaving, drinking, or doing anything to negatively impact the course or the other golfers. None of us will be paying to experience that rangers attitude/ power trip again. I love how this course is set up and it’s beautiful. Been there many times but will reconsider...
Read moreI have always liked this course. It’s well-maintained most of the holes are shorter, and the area is beautiful. Although I’m not a regular golfer, I’ve been golfing here quite a few times for over 15 years. We had a little snafu today teaching one of my kids to golf and we struggled a bit on the first tee. The ranger seemed a bit short with us because someone behind me wanted to go and we were not aware when we started. They said nothing to us and we were happy to let everyone pass that were closing in on us, including those people. We were also happy to start late in the day to avoid the line of more experienced golfers that wanted to move more quickly. He was just very abrupt and condescending, asking how old my kids were, when they are almost adults (17 & 16 but both small and short). It just set the tone of the game with a bad vibe which is rough after paying $100 for everyone.
After the first hole, we got our groove a bit better and didn’t feel like we were being watched so felt better.
Still giving 4 stars as it just seemed like an off day that happened to be very busy earlier, and I’m hoping this experience was...
Read moreThe course itself is very well kept and challenging. However the ranger is very hounding on groups over pace of play. We had a bigger group split into 2 groups. We were delayed starting because the group in front of us was late. This meant we had a group right up on us from the start. We were playing as quickly as our skill level allowed. The ranger approached us multiple times telling us to pick up the pace, that there were holes open ahead of us. We were not moving slowly at all, just not great golfers. We were told on the 9th hole that we would be refunded for half of a round and told to leave. If there was an issue with our group size, we were never told this, just that we needed to keep it moving (which we were). We were not being slow, roudy, or disrespectful. I've never been kicked off of a course before. It's a shame because the place was nice, but we were not allowed...
