I think I entered the twilight zone. We made a reservation and when we arrived the hostess asked if we would prefer inside or out. We said outside but before everyone was seated decided it was to windy. We stated we changed our mind and wanted inside. The hostess said she was unsure if we could sit inside. Literally we were not all seated and it was less than one minute after she asked inside or out. There were atleast 4 open tables inside. I explained we had a reservation and she had j ust asked our prefrence and apologized for changing our mind. The rest of the experience just got worse. We had went in the day before without a reservation and were turned away so we made a reservation. I had the wagyu steak and it was under cooked from what i requested and very chewy. The vegetables and salad was good. The crab cake was cold. The table that came after us sent theirs back to be heated. We waited so long just to order and then for our food to arrive I did not want to wait to send it back. We went there a couple days before that and I had salmon. It was much better than the steak. That experience was better, but both times we were there people were turned away without a reservation. We were visiting from out of town and this was close to where we were staying. The experience was unlike anything we have ever experienced and I really wish we would have left when they had a problem with us changing our seating to inside. At one time there was 7 people at the front counter only 2 feet from where we sat and we waited for a tea refill for 20 mins before asking a 2nd time. I really wish we would not have spent our money with them the 2nd time. The choices in the area are limited but next time we will drive to surrounding areas to...
Read moreWe've been here 3 times. The first time was great. The 2nd time service was slow and it took the waiter around 20 minutes to come to our table. The food was more mediocre this time (for example, brisket was extremely dry), but whatever, not the end of the world.
The 3rd time was one of the worst experiences I have ever had a restaurant. We made a reservation for a group of 12 a month in advance to make sure they could prepare. This was for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary.
When we arrived, they were not prepared. They took about 10 minutes getting our table ready. Then it took another 15-20 minutes for the waiter to arrive. And then 20-30 minutes was the standard check-in time for the next two hours as we waited for food. As we waited, we saw tables that got there well after us receive their food. Eventually we gave up and left to order pizza. We didn't dine and dash, and offered to pay for the drinks we had received. To their credit, they did not charge us for that.
We were given an excuse that we had a large party so a delay is reasonable. Remember, we told them a month in advance we had a party of 12 so they had plenty of time to plan.
If you are looking to have a slow meal and are alright waiting hours for your food, this place may be fine for you.
I don't blame the waitstaff as much as whoever manages this place, because they clearly dropped the ball here and hung their staff out to dry. It seems like this place started out okay, but has been going downhill over the course of the year. It's unfortunate because we truly wanted them to succeed, but we won't...
Read moreThis place has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, the service and food didn’t live up to it. I ordered a Cobb salad specifically for the egg, onion, and avocado, but it arrived missing both the egg and onion. When I asked about it, the waitress told me the kitchen had simply left them off because they were out. That’s the kind of thing I feel a customer should be notified about before the plate arrives, especially when those toppings are part of the main reason for ordering.
When I mentioned it, the waitress came across as rude and dismissive. She asked if I wanted something else, but by then the rest of my party was finished and ready to leave. I requested a to-go guac, which she did bring, though not without grumbling under her breath. Ironically, after being told they were “out” of onions, my to-go guac showed up with onions sprinkled right on top, adding to the frustration.
To make matters worse, it wasn’t particularly busy, yet it still took 40 minutes for our appetizer, a basic plate of nuts, cheese, and meat, to come out. Overall, while the atmosphere was pleasant, the lack of communication, slow service, and attitude from the staff made this a...
