I visited for a trim to even out an inverted bob that I am growing out. I have curly hair and the stylist combed it and didn’t even wet my hair to cut it. She finished cutting it and it was dry and frizzy all over from combing so I asked her to straighten it or curl it because I had some running around to do afterwards. She told me that it would cost extra. Um, in most places you just do this as part of the service. You don’t send someone out of your salon looking like they just stuck their finger in a socket. However, I agreed to letting her charge me extra to style my hair. She said she would curl just some of it. She pulled out a tiny curling iron and started giving me random spiral curls. I asked her to use a bigger curling iron because I just wanted large bouncy curls. She said the small one was fine and I let her continue, hoping she would pull the curls out a bit. Then she started curling my curls toward my face (hello 1980) and I asked her to curl the curls back out of my face. She took out her straightener and started pulling my hair back with the straightener. (WTF!) So my hair was a combination of spiral curls, a frizzy mess, and straight pieces. When I told her that it didn’t look good she asked for help and another girl came over. They started yanking at my hair with a straightener again and using the tiny curling iron. One girl said it just didn’t want to cooperate. I BET IT DIDN'T! The same piece had been curled the wrong direction and straightened for the last 10 minutes. They sprayed it with so much hairspray that my hair didn’t even have any bend in it. They straightened and curled the same piece about 20 times and fried my hair. When I said that it wasn’t acceptable I was asked if I wanted to do it myself. NO I WANT THE SERVICE THAT I’M PAYING FOR! If I wanted to do it myself I would’ve stayed at home. I asked that my hair to be cut and colored. The cut was fine however I asked for blond with blond highlights. I got light brown and after I left my daughter said I had stripes on the back of my hair.
