The things I LOVE about this business are what the owners have created for the pleasure of their guests and customers:
A beautiful country experience in their new ‘old timber’ barn so authentically recreated to appear old yet modernly updated. -That they invite the extended community, school programs, local businesses, tourists, family and friends and always with a welcome piece of sweet fruit! The American flag hanging in the barn that proudly represents their devotion to country - life, liberty and happiness. At a time in our country when we all need to remember how lucky we are to live in the USA. Fruit growing education they acquired and share of the newest and most efficient ways to grow fruit with knowledge from their world-wide fruit partners. FUN events like the Peach Festival and Apple Peak where they make the experience for guests so special for the opportunity to be at their orchard ‘home’! —Music by local extremely talented musicians, —fresh and delicious real-fruit ice-cream (with a machine they purchased from New Zealand) to sustainably use whole fruits that weren’t perfect and —inviting local vendors to give everyone a chance to ‘sell’ their goods and ‘buy’ something special. The atmosphere of FAMILY and all that means from the Gammie’s little ones riding around the farm to the gentle Golden Retrievers laying around eating fruit and Bill Gammie knowing everyone’s name and if he doesn’t - he plans to!
They are kind, hard-working, creative and talented entrepreneurs!

Read moreApples and Pumpkins and Fun! Oh what a magical experience it was to visit Quarry Hill Orchards!! I recently attended the “Rural Roots” event last weekend and it was so much fun! It was a beautiful day for picking apples, listening to great live music, shopping at local vendor tents, and enjoying delicious food from local food trucks. Truly fun for the whole family - including a haybale jungle jim for the kids to play on, Quarry Cones Real Fruit Ice Cream as a sweet treat and a Quarry Hill Winery tent for those over 21 to enjoy 🍷 The Gammie family behind Quarry Hill Orchards makes the experience even more wonderful, because they make YOU feel like family! From being greeted in the market barn by Bill with a cup of fresh cider, to chatting up Farmer Ben about apples this season, I left with a smile on my face and apples galore! 🍎 It was a special treat to meet the newest member of the QHO family, golden retriever puppy, Wilson. Soon he’ll be roaming around with the other golden, Hudson. Thank you to the QHO operation for hosting such a fun and social event! I’m already looking forward to the next weekend in October, at Quarry Hill Orchards...
Read moreWe switched over to visiting Quarry Hill Orchard for our Annual Preschool Field Trip in 2015. We have NO thoughts of ever changing! The staff are all so hospitable, and make you feel like family! Its always nice to get out to the farm :) My fellow preschool staff and I talked about the tour on the bus ride home -- we all agree we are super pleased with how child friendly and oriented everyone was today (and have been for the last 5 years)! Esp Farmer Brooke and the way she got the kiddos in line, the way she taught and spoke to them, etc. Farmer Kay did a great job giving some information about the trees - both for the adults and the kiddos! And Ben, well, he is of course always great with everyone as well! They LOVE the tractor ride he gives! No Quarry Hill trip would be complete with out some attention to Hudson and Walter, the farm dogs. Poppy Bill treated me to some hot apple cider and the packing staff is always there for a wave and a smile for all. We look forward to our visit next year! (Wanted to add - we brought about 80 adults, 75 children and 4...
