I’m not quite sure what it is about this specific service for River activities, but we came here about a year ago now and had the most peaceful beautiful river floating experience. We have tried to go back and couldn’t remember the name of the company we went through. The 2 river experiences we have had since this one have been nothing short of a nightmare to be Blatantly honest. We picked elk river the 2nd and 3rd time around thinking it was the same as this experience was, but we were very surprised to find out this was not the same. Elk River clearly only cares about the money and over books the River as well as other companies that book along the same river. It was extremely crowded and had lots of hiccups throughout the float trip. Long wait time just to get a raft and get out on the water and very unorganized, with you guys we got there got checked in and were taken on a shuttle after parking the car. Everything was done very smoothly and efficiently we were checked in and in the water within 30/45 mins. The young man that checked us in was very lively and respectful and you could tell he wanted to be there, we loved the family atmosphere of this experience. The float trip it’s self was extremely fun and very beautiful not sure if it was the time of year we decided to go or what, but it was very open people wise and not crowded at all we could actually enjoy our float and not worry about bumping into drunk belligerent people in front of my four-year-old son. Y’all also had life jackets that fit my son properly verse what was given at the other float companies. Just wanted to thank y’all for an incredible trip as it was my sons first float trip and he still asks when we are going back to the cabin house to float!! We will be back now that we found the correct company we absolutely loved! In fact we won’t go to any other float service again! Keep doing an incredible job the customer service is...
Read moreThe float was beautiful. The staff did not give any direction other than go 4 MI down the road. There was no take out sign. The guy sitting on the bridge didn't say anything about taking out on one side or the other. All he did was make inappropriate Jew jokes as my husband loaded our kayaks up. The staff member from the office pulls up and cussed us out about taking out our kayaks on the bridge. There was no signs saying we couldn't, no barricades anywhere other than one freaking kayak that had to be moved so that we could get our geat out. No staff members helping anywhere to guide us to the correct procedure. Just this lady screaming and cussing at us for not knowing. Same lady that took my reservation and checked us in at the office. Extremely unprofessional and she completely ruined our opinion of the whole day by having to deal with her attitude. We paid to be put in and taken out of the river but in truth we only paid them to move our truck which was never discussed in the reservation stage. They kept on saying oh you need a shuttle..... There was no shuttles and instead they drove our personal vehicle to the takeout point, which if we had known that they were going to do that, we wouldn't have left our loaded guns in our vehicle before showing up...
Read moreUnless it has rained dramatically in the past week, do NOT go. River level was so low! There was no floating due to no current only lots of paddling and getting out and dragging the boats. We booked a raft for our family of four and we’re told the day before that the water was too low for a raft. We were given two canoes instead, which separated us each with a kid in the canoe. We specifically asked if we would be pulling the canoes and we’re assured that there was plenty of water to float. Our trip was supposed to be 4 hours…after 6 hours of paddling/dragging the canoes, we finally arrived at the final stop. Upon completion staff waiting for the canoes were rude and unhelpful. I would not use the outfitter again and the only reason I used them in the first place was they tout themselves as being the only float outfitter on the kings river that uses rafts. Also side note, any pictures of fish being caught are not recent at all. So don’t go expecting to see or catch any fish. On a positive note the Kings River water is beautifully...
