The inter professional collaboration at this facility is poor at best. My daughter has been evaluated by psych for the past 6-9 months for possible ADHD. She has been diagnosed, and NO DIAGNOSIS was ever updated in the chart. As a mother who is in full time nursing school, works, in an internship, with 2 children you can imagine I have little to no time on my hands. I unfortunately missed a web visit with the psych provider due to my busy schedule but called back promptly when I was first able. I spoke with the psych provider who stated I would be able to meet with a pcp for medication and we would follow up with 504 plan etc. I called to make an appointment and the gentleman on the line had no notes present about a diagnosis listed. He had to reach out the the provider who once again verified it was ok to meet with a pcp for medication. We made the appointment over the phone and I moved my entire schedule around while pulling my daughter out of school to make this appointment today. We attended the appointment and NO DIAGNOSIS was ever updated on her chart ONCE AGAIN. How is my child’s chart not updated at this point? The provider I spoke with was staring at me like I had 10 heads. She was incredibly rude, and her response to my concern of not being able to start her on a medication today was “I will call you and send a medication when she responds”. Really? You have an incredibly frustrated mother sitting in front of you and you sought out no opportunity to rectify the situation. She had no clue what the appointment was even scheduled for. She even had the audacity to make it known I missed an appointment. We’re talking about potentially lifelong medication here not something to be taken lightly. This is not simply a quick convo over the phone. I am beyond angry and frustrated at the care provided to my family at this facility. Good luck having ANYTHING important updated in your chart. Yesterday 11/29/22 my 2 nieces and daughter were seen in this office by provider Joanne Lopes. Both my nieces texted positive for FLU A and they sent over prescriptions for Oseltamivir ( 1 child for the pills, other 2 for liquid form, which was requested that way per child) due to the ages of the other children the insurance needed pre authorization so when I got to the pharmacy to pick up is when I found out. So I reached out to the doctors office @2:18pm, again @3:41pm and again @4:40pm explaining each time the same thing about the medication for the 2 other children. Which was noted in the charts why wasn't anything sent to the insurance company ? I waited thinking the doctor would send it before leaving for the day nothing. I called back after hours @6:16pm after telling the last person I spoke with how would I get ahold of someone about this after they close at 5pm I was told they have ppl who still answer after hrs. The nurse who called me back definitely took care of the matter as best as she could but not knowing that my daughter doesnt weigh enough for the pills so she couldn't get any medication. Not sure why the doctors office doesn't communicate those things to the insurance company. So today 11/30/22 my daughter still hasn't been able to get the medication that she needs. So I’m a start off by saying I wouldn’t recommend ANYONE here most of my family and I have been a client of Dr. Andrew Henderson (Retired) since I was a baby and my oldest has been a client since he was born. It saddens me that I have to switch both of my children because of the unprofessionalism and bad energy at this doctor office (Foulk Road) . They don’t care about the children and long term situations. Very POOR communication skills, lack of acknowledgment towards medical information. This office went downhill 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾and could use some good management . If you don’t like your job please make room for people who does. It’s really a shame when a child ask for a new doctor office.
