The Ravioli were Not the same we had at the tasting. The tasting had soft fresh pasta ravioli that were plump with lobster meat and had an excellent orange color lobster roe cream sauce that was rich in lobster flavor. The Wedding Ravioli were not even close to the same, half the filling, more cheese to lobster than originally, a basic cream sauce that was white/ivory in color and the dough was dry and plastic textured and just had sauce very sparingly poured over it. I know a few of the local fresh pasta companies and I'd say it was purchased from Deanos, this ravioli also looked different having a yellow and squid ink striped pasta dough, the tasting was a much different dough and not striped either. The Filet Mignon, I ordered this and my wife the chicken, now I understand the food isnt all cooked at once and isn't coming straight off the grille and also that it may cool a bit as it reaches some of the last tables, But the Head table, the first table you serve should probably get hot food! I tasted my steak once my table was served and it was barely warm, like it had been sitting for 20 minutes. Also the presentation was more of how you might serve your family at home, nothing like how the food was presented at the tasting (maybe they have the same turnover rate with chefs!)
On to the last thing that pissed me off with this group.. As the wedding reception was coming close to the later hours some of the older guests started leaving so we made it a point to take some night group shots out front of Tupper, we still had not had the final dance since we wanted to get as many of the guests in the shots before they left. Next thing I know my DJ Brad comes out to me and tells me that Event planner #4 whatever her name was had the staff start clearing off the dance floor and setting up their buffet stations which they leave there when no event is going on. He had told her a few times to give us a few minutes that we hadn't had the last dance yet and that we were just outside having a few photos, she ignored him and went about her business, only after I came in and said a few words did she direct the staff to clear the floor for our final dance. All she had to do was come outside and get me or update me of the time.
All in all it was a beautiful wedding but in no way do I credit the staff at Tupper Manor, My Photographer Hadrien Damier and DJ Brad Zati went above and beyond to make the event come out perfect, Tupper.... well as you can see I can't even remember the woman's name that I met the day prior to our wedding.. Is this a beautiful venue? Yes, Was the Food OK? So so Would I recommend anyone reading this to plan a wedding there? Not unless they change some staff and management and guarantee the food you have at the tasting is what you will be served, The bait and switch of event coordinators and food is what pissed me...
Read moreTupper Manor is the most beautiful wedding venue we have ever seen. The outside is beautiful, the inside is gorgeous, and it has ocean views and spots to take ocean photos on the beach. The water fountain outside is massive and such a beautiful piece of art. Plus, the second floor inside is huge and is meant as the bridal suite for getting ready. And, the venue has the hotel attached to it! This venue and location checked everything off our list. Not to mention the two pretty bar rooms (I love the oval room), billiards room, huge ballroom with a giant sparkling chandelier and fireplaces, open and glassed in dinner room, grand entrance with a beautiful stair case inside...the list goes on and on. We had to postpone our wedding celebration due to the pandemic. Tupper Manor was VERY kind and understanding throughout the whole process (and let us vent a lot 😊). I want to give a HUGE thank you to Colby!!! She was our main point of contact from planning, postponing, and re-planning. She is a very kind person and super nice to work with. She is professional and detailed-oriented – truly the best person to coordinate a wedding with. I also want to give a shout-out to Sara – we worked with Sara, and then she moved out of state – she was awesome to work with, too. Lastly, during our wedding day Nicole was supporting us, too. She was very kind and calming – we loved having her as part of our day! All the staff are phenomenal (including all the servers and bartenders and everyone!). My husband and I already started planning our 25th wedding anniversary at Tupper Manor 😊 Thank you, Colby! We will miss working with you and talking to you all time. Our wedding day was amazing – thank you so much for everything! Tupper Manor is highly recommended! You will not be...
Read moreI was there for a wedding reception, tho it was fun I was amazed at how beautiful the venue was. From the giant pillars to the amazing outside water fountain. I do agree it's way to closed in, hard to find the bathrooms. The lay out is that of an old house in the Addams family but nicer. Seriously unless you ask someone where certain places are, like the bathroom you'll get lost. Besides that the rest of the place made me feel like a Kennedy.
The bar setup was alright, I heard it was cocktail hour then after it would be a cash bar. It seemed like it was an open bar for a while. When I asked the bartender how long is it open bar I was met with "Depends on how much you drink?" I couldn't tell if he was serious or just messing with me. I was driving and had work the next day so I obviously didn't drink that much.
The food was just blah, the salad they served had raspberries on it and just looked too much like rabbit food as the portion size was on the small side. I ordered the braised short ribs for my meal. I believe the other option was some type of fish. I was at a table where 2 of the guest didn't receive their meals. When the guest asked the waitress they got dismissed very quickly. The waitress pulled out the paperwork and stated these guest never picked out their dish and had to wait til everyone got served. Kinda rude of the waitress, also I refused to eat until everyone was served. Of course my food got cold quickly. The problem was later fixed and everyone got a meal. I sadly had better braised short ribs. I felt like the meat was tough and dry. This short rib reminded me of the food they serve on cruise ships. I still ate it but wasn't impressed unfortunately. I had a great experience besides that. Thanks for the...
