It was better than I expected. Couldnt park inside due to Covid-19 but was able to park along side the hwy which wasnt hectic n tight people literally bumper to bumper. Completely packed on Saturday and Sunday. However the staff was really helpful and friendly. They didn't mind me asking alot of questions regarding permit fees, launching and inspections. Paid $100 for an annual permit pass that gets u unlimited visits and launches. Note to self* u must have a dry boat, PWC or Canoe in order to pass the mussel inspection so plan ahead. There extremely strict and I understand why. Lots of visitors and renters driving and riding like crazy people so look out. They dont know the boating laws nor are they taught when renting boats or PWCs. The water police was cool. He needed help watching the lake thou. Bathrooms have zero soap but a wash station right outside the bathrooms. Water was super choppy. Launch took about 15 mins in and out and once ur done and wiping down ur boat or PWC ask for a band and the staff will band ur boat or PWC so u can bypass the mussel inspection for next trip just as long as the tag...

Rude Staff and Negative Atmosphere Ruined My Visit I visited the Carol Morrison Public Boat Launch today, looking forward to a relaxing day of fishing, but ended up leaving early because of the bad vibes caused by a staff member’s unprofessional behavior. A female employee with darker-colored hair, wearing a fleece jacket, approached me and spoke in an unnecessarily condescending and rude tone. The interaction felt completely uncalled for and left me feeling unwelcome.

As a local and a Google Local Guide, I take pride in supporting community spaces, but this experience was disappointing enough to cut my day short. While the location itself is scenic, moments like these make it hard to enjoy. I hope management addresses staff training to create a more positive and welcoming environment...

Gwen and Sam were so sweet and pleasant. Make sure your boat does not drip one drop of water when you start it for the permit inspection. 75 bucks for a hot water flush. Insane.

Matt was passive aggressive, rude, very sarcastic, and had zero knowledge of water fittings to flush the engine. He couldn’t have a conversation with my boyfriend who was knowledgeable about boats and finally came out with a bucket of fittings and dropped the bucket at the other 2 girls’ feet who worked there and went inside and stopped helping us. Horrible experience. He made us feel very...

We really like visiting this launch, even when we don't have our boat, and so does everyone else. It gets busy with parking hard to find, especially for boat trailers. It's so popular because it's next to the walking trail, has a nice beach area, treed picnic areas. Of course the beautiful views are icing on the cake. I urge you to perpendicular park off the road or across the street if there there to only use the hiking trails. Handicapped parking and restrooms are accessible.

Beautiful views of Bear Mountain and Snow Summit from here. Along with a nice walking path and benches, being on Big Bear Lake is very pretty. Parking lot has been closed but there is plenty of parking on the street. Bathrooms are available here. Great place to go for a walk with family.
