They I.D.'d me for a lighter. The law is tobacco products, not lighters. Are they implying the only use of a lighter is for smoking? I know for a fact you can buy a lighter without I.D. because the sheriff's told me so when I was in Search and Rescue through the sheriff's office. What if somebody had been on their way to a mission, to save somebody's life, and you hassled them for ten minutes they could have spent responding. What if a homeless person didn't have an I.D. and needed a lighter to start a fire (hypothetically) to keep warm? What if teenagers were going hiking, couldn't get a lighter there, got lost, and couldn't start a fire?

After I gave my I.D. The manager tried to act like I hadn't given them my I.D. yet and tried to tell me to leave. I asked for my I.D. and the lighter the clerk had already been paid for. They made me late for work, because I had to go back to my car, and then they kept arguing with me after I already paid and showed I.D., almost refusing to give me the product I already purchased.

In the past I tried to purchase gas with quarters and they told me I "came in with change too much", mind you this was maybe the third time I'd been in there, and first time I'd used change. That time I was out of gas, and barely made it to Shell where they helped me in a. friendly manner.

I will not be returning, and I'd recommend going five miles down the road to avoid the hassle. Especially any EMTs, hikers, or...

There is alot to tell about this place. If there would 2 options of giving stars I would like to do that. Because I just moved down to birch bay from Texas and this is the only place where I go. So I used to go in the night, but the lady who works in the night she is always rude, she is always on the phone. She is pretending to be good but she doesnt seem good. So I stopped going in the night because of only that lady. Now I go in the day time, that time became my favourite time because there is two guys in the store they are soooo good since first day, as a lady I should say their parents taught them some manners, how to talk to elder people with respect, polite, manners, with patience so on. I usually go there and everything is always clean. Coolers are always full, and they make food in the day time I didnt know that. Owner should be proud of those two guys, one with beard and short guy always smile on the face. I mean I was reading the reviews towards this store believe me everything is lie. But owner should be concern about that lady. Many people steal stuff in her presence. Less than one star...

This is the best place between birch bay, lynden, custer and blaine. I checked out the reviews before I went to the store but there was nothing like people have been sharing the reviews towards this store. This store is way better than this all negative reviews. I appreciate the owner and employees they have been doing good in every way. There is a Man with beard I guess, he helped as much as he could. Food is fresh, everything is full in the cooler, fresh coffee. Last but not the least people share their reviews but they share only employees side, What about customers they are also might be rude.
