Had 08:00 load. Planned to be there at 07:15, Then 15 miles out on US 280 eastbound it all came to a halt. This morning traffic rivals anything NY, LA or Chitcago can throw at you. 4 lanes bumper to bumper with crossroads and lights that take 3 or 4 cycles to clear. So I ended up a half hour late. Go to drop lot next door and wait. Drop lot is jammed up with dropped trailers and waiting drivers. BTW the projects are a half a block away, which us dog walkers need to be aware of as the sun goes down. So nobody at Ventura answers their phone, the broker just fed me horse chit all day, no detention pay since I was late. Finally in the afternoon I walk to the guard shack and coax a straight answer from da bro in da shack. Standard procedure when you are late is to load you after all other appointments scheduled that day. The crucial tidbit of info I needed he told me; that appointments were scheduled all night! He said maybe around 01:00 they might call me. Well they called at 04:04 and I was sound asleep. I assume it was the guardshack because it was a 205 area code but all I heard was shuffling papers and someone mumble something from across the room on the voicemail. The only reason I stayed there all night was because it was a quiet spot for sleeping. We got another load next day but those MF-ers wasted a whole frikkin day for me. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME EVEN BOOKING A LOAD WITH THESE UNETHICAL F-WADS! KLLM has the account to drop and hook loads at this place. Let them steering wheel holders deal with this crap. Broker was Blue Ribbon Transport and I give them negative stars for not being...
Read moreThe Truck drivers that deliver the product to this facility, experience a horrible, terrible experience with the guard check people. They are rude, and never open to help the drivers that arrive on time and tired. they give them a hard time specially with the logistics of the old facility that they have, makes it very difficult for truck drivers to park, they can't park inside the facility, they have to park like at 1.8 miles away from the facility, and wait until the appointment time, but when they arrive on time or 10, 15 minutes or any hour Before the appointment, truck drivers check in and these incompetent ladies don't even want to take their names or information like signing them in or anything so that they can call the drivers once there is an available spot for them. instead, even though they have an appointment and they are on time, if they are not ready to allow truckers in, they will send them back to park 1.8 miles away and they have to keep coming back with that huge truck to see if they can take them now. Why not take the truckers phone number and call them to let them know? why do they give appointments if they are never available on time? and make truck drivers be on time if they can't even take them? These ladies have such attitudes and lack of consideration with the truckers, they are lazy and rude ladies. to all truck drivers that have to take loads there.. don't worry about being on time, they will make you wait anyway and give you an "I Don't...
Read moreNot my favorite place to load at. All the staff was good, but they don’t have good directions or signs. I came in off of I-20 the main gate is on the left near the employee parking, it says no trucks can enter even know that’s the only way to the docks. You have to go to the drop yard guard shack two lights down to check in, if you go to the main gate they will not tell you this information, they will only open the gate and you’re on your own. After you check in you have to go back to the main gate to get to the docks, then you have to drop your trailer and bobtail back to the drop yard and wait for them to call, once they call you go back to the main building to the shipping office. There are no signs to tell you where the shipping office is. You have to go to the very end of the tracks, go up the ramp to the left, go in the big metal doors and then there is a door on the right. Overall it wasn’t terrible, they just lack signage for directions and good directions to check In, and those two are very important seeing how small this location is. It’s not like you can back up from the main gate because it’s off a busy road and you can’t turn around because it’s too tight unless you back into a empty dock to do it. Good luck to anyone who has to park...
