This 4.5 mile well maintained loop takes the moderately fit hiker through a variety of ecological zones that support the ancient Bristlecone. It is all stunning. But the most breathtaking section is through the Methuselah Grove, in which is hidden the most ancient living thing on Earth. You're not quite sure if it's visible from the trail, but no matter, since you're obviously in the midst of trees that have survived longer than the Great Pyramids. They'll probably even...

Great place to go to see the oldest trees on this planet. Easily accessible compared to Great Basin National Park - the Schulman grove is a great trail to walk. Clear nights are even better. If you have access to AWD or 4WD get to patriarch grove its more of an adventure and the drive up to 11K feet is astonishing seeing that you can see the entire Eastern Sierra Range...

Świetne miejsce dla tych, którzy kochają przyrodę, a zwłaszcza drzewa. Najstarsze drzewa świata - sosny szczeciniaste z gatunku pinus longaeva albo pinus aristata. Najstarszego osobnika poświęcili dla „dobra nauki”. Miał jakieś 5.050 lat. Nawet go nie nazwali. Później był „Prometeusz”, teraz Matuzalem (vel Methuselah)… 4.850 lat. Odjazd. Dobrze, że nie podają, gdzie rośnie, bo nawet na prawie 4.000 mnpm dojadą idioci, by go uszkodzić!… Tyle przeżył, a ile jeszcze ma przed sobą?… lepiej, by ludzkość nie wiedziała!
