Was able to come out same day and confirm my problem/ haven't had any work done yet but so far so good, I will update after job is complete.
Updated after work done to only 3 stars. From 5 stars for prompt initial arrival. OK so everything started out OK but every step contued downhill! My recent experience with the furnace coil replacement, I find it important to dissect the multiple issues encountered during this service. It all begins with a scheduling misstep, where the technician's arrival was prematurely scheduled for the wrong date, disrupting my plans making me spend time while vacationing to get rescheduled. Subsequent delays compounded the inconvenience, leaving me tethered to my home for an entire day with the tech showing up at 5 pm even though it was a morning install scheduled. Tech at this time advised me a minimum of 3 to 4 hours install.
Despite these setbacks, the technician maintained a veneer of professionalism, albeit strained. However, the lack of transparency regarding the replacement coil's universality and the subsequent sticker shock upon discovering its smaller dimensions raised valid concerns. Universal coils, while functional, necessitate informed consent from the client, especially when significant modifications to the existing system are involved.
The pivotal moment arrived when I inspected the work in progress. To my dismay, the technician had diced up a good portion of my furnace, including the removable inspection door—an action that defied conventional practice. My apprehension grew, and I found myself questioning the integrity of the entire process.
The financial aspect compounded my unease. A hefty $3,600 price tag for the universal coil replacement and installation left me reeling. Finished product being held together by duct tape, no serviceable door anymore. The request for immediate payment, coupled with a waiver declaring satisfaction, further exacerbated my discomfort finishing at 10 pm that night. I negotiated a 2 day grace period to verify the system's functionality, met with much resistance, and I eventually agreed to sign their disclaimer, albeit with a stipulation for written warranty confirmation of 1 year parts and labor as promised by instillation tech.
Regrettably, the promised warranty documentation remains elusive. Despite paying the balance promptly, my emails requesting clarity have gone unanswered. The opacity surrounding this transaction casts a shadow over the entire experience.
In summary, this ordeal underscores the importance of transparent communication, adherence to industry standards, and comprehensive documentation. As consumers, we deserve clarity, accountability, and the assurance that our investments are...

I originally called for furnace problem in Spring 2023. The tech was prompt & fixed. He suggested time to replace. Ken came to our home at a later date explaining options for replacement of our old AC & furnace. We bought heat pump with furnace with additional duct work for just under $14k When the installers came we had few minor issues with installation. There was misunderstanding to what we agreed to with Ken, but after phone calls it was resolved. They had the wrong equipment but got the correct one delivered quickly. The installer did have problems dropping some foul language while on my property. It was frustrating to me after being here all day to find out, the install couldn’t be completed due to needing additional electrical work. They arranged for an electrician to come out. The electrician was professional & knowledgeable. We tried to get a tech out at the same time to make sure we could get our heat pump working since it was warm outside but no one was available. So the electrician left and we still had no cold air. I spoke with an installation manager who said nothing could be done since the problem was with our house not having the needed electric requirements. 🙄 We did get a tech out the next day to finally get all our equipment working.
November came…. I called at 9:17am with no heat🥶🥶🥶 Mark came out promptly within a hour! He found the problem quickly & fixed it. It was an install error. He was friendly & professional. He even let both my dogs say hello.
April came…. We had a nice hot day in Idaho and my cold air was not working. So another tech call to find out another install error. We did ask for someone that night but was told we had to wait till the next day. So it was frustrating to spend the night in my 80° house.
A manager called me last week trying to resolve our install problems since we didn’t get any of the additional duct work that we paid for. I also explained the other concerns. She promised to follow up, but haven’t heard anything yet.
May came…. We tried using the cool function again, and it didn’t work. So had to call out another technician. The Custer service lady tried telling us we had to wait till the next day, but I refused that option. Mark came out. We had a valve that was broken. He promptly fixed it and cold air once again worked.
We are happy with our new energy efficient heat pump & furnace!! We have seen the savings in our electric bill. I just wish install plus first year went a...
Read moreUPDATE: Heather B called me today and helped walk through how often to change filters, verified they are processing the refund they were supposed to originally, and is sending me the filters thay were supposed to be left on the day of install. She also told me the original service guy's name was Wade. Wade was great.
....
I wish I could remember the name of the service guy who came on the Saturday our furnace went out. He was great. Unfortunately that's where the great experience ended.
The sales guy, Ken, came quickly, hours before the scheduled appointment. While at our house he was in too much of a hurry to go over options with us and kept saying things like "I really need to get to the next one." During that sales visit we were told many things would happen that didn't. We were told our original service call fee would be deducted from the purchase price of the new furnace. It wasn't. We were told that the install guys would go over how to use the system, which you would think would be how and how often to replace the air filters, they did not. In fact, they handed my wife the manual to the new thermostat they installed without telling us they were replacing our not very old one and that was all. We were told we would be given interest free financing for 24 months, but when we were charged it was only for 6 months. We were told we would receive a year supply of air filters, we were not.
I have spent the last couple of weeks talking to many people just to try and figure out how to get some of this made right. They did send someone over to drop off filters, that were the wrong size. I finally said I would drive to their shop and exchange the filters, they told me they were there until 5. I got there today a little before 4:30 just to find out that wasn't accurate either, they are only there until 3.
I have yet to receive the refund for the sales call I was promised, and when it was brought to the attention of the sales rep, he tried to pressure my wife into accepting that "he had done it, she just didn't understand the invoice"
After my initial interaction with the service guy who came out originally I was expecting great service, after the last couple of weeks, 1 star may be a little generous.
It is also not surprising how many 5 star reviews they have as the lady called my wife and really pressured hard for her to leave one, and wouldn't let her off the phone until my wife...
