Amy was really nice! Unfortunately, these itips were so painful and badly done that i went back to have them removed within a few days to prevent further damage. These were a special treat to myself so I really wanted to keep them in.
I sent a polite email requesting for a refund because I wanted to be nice and didn't want to leave a bad review. I was told this is just initial discomfort and given advice about hair care. I was also suggested to try another hair extension method but after this whole ordeal, I don't want to. (Lowkey they kinda professionally blamed me for improper care which is a bit evil. It's not my fault if a stylist didn't do a proper job. I promise I wasn't being rude or something when getting them installed.)
GIRL I'm so sorry but this was beyond "discomfort." The headache was insane. I could not think properly (RIP to my exam). My scalp was on fire. Not to mention, some of my freshly installed extensions were falling out even though I was VERY gentle with them. (Of course I was, since any tiny bit of pulling adds to my already painful scalp!) My scalp was red where the extensions were attached. (The pictures don't show it well but u can still slightly see it.) This is NOT NORMAL. I'm serious, just installed extensions should not be this painful or be falling out. š I tried to bear with it for as long as I could.
Okay but the pain aside- look at them. Can you tell they are extensions? Only when you're looking, right? That's how badly blended they are. Compare it to my inspo pic. SHE IS NOT THAT GIRL. Da extension are hanging onto a few strands. No wonder it hurts like my hair is getting ripped out.... it is.
I only noticed how bad my hair was until later. The photo shows all my hair pulled back to look its fullest. I didn't notice in the salon because I didn't have glasses. I was rushed off the chair because it's a busy salon and that's okay if my hair is okay. Even then, I'm SHOCKED that this five star salon would leave me looking like that. Everyone said it looked good. HELP THE BETRAYAL š
My bf a real one for letting me know!!
My main concern is the health of my hair but GIRLIES THIS WHOLE TIME IVE BEEN WALKING AROUND LIKE THAT. This is just embarrassing and has contributed to my list of insecurities, which matters a lot to a my developing teenager brain.
I didn't take pictures of my natural hair's volume before and after because I didn't anticipate on making a claim or anything. I just wanted to be on my merry way with nice hair. Let me just tell u, I lost a lot of hair. I have to wrap a scrunchie around my hair extra times now. It's like half of my hair is gone. I'm not joking!! š„¹
As a student still in college, a waste of $220 hurts real bad. š Actually, it probably hurts for anyone who isn't a billionaire. I pretty much left with empty pockets and empty spots on my head. š±
I might as well have gotten scammed. I'm really sad but thank you for trying. š
This salon is great (not sarcasm)! It really is. I'm impressed by the atmosphere. The friendly energy all around. The skill of some stylists. Just don't get itips done by Amy. I apologize once again but I cannot lie about how bad these extensions are. I really hope I get my money back so I can get extensions done somewhere else at least? Guys I'm so sad. :(
Edit: Volume? Bro the stylist didn't use all of the hair provided anyway? The main concern is the bad install + response. Every response tells me about something I should have done, to make it SEEM like it is NOT THEIR FAULT. The blame shifting?? It's not the extension's fault that they were applied too close to the scalp and hanging onto a few strands of hair. (They should be applied with some space between the scalp and the extension and sufficient hair strands to distribute the weight.) There is no doubt that this is a bad install, no matter how you try to twist the story. It's okay if mistakes are made but I'm surprised a whole business can't even own up to their own mistakes.
Edit 2: I finally got a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was urged by some friends and a stylist who is a good friend in another state to do this review after the way I was treated. I cannot give an opinion on anyone else in this shop besides Allie. I was treated very poorly recently by her when I got a call 24 hours before a long-standing appointment that Allie had to cancel as she had to go to a funeral. That was fine, until I tried to reschedule in any reasonable time. I am not family or girlfriends or buddies with Allie so I did not think it my business to ask any questions on her personal life besides when could I reschedule. The receptionist told me that Allie was double booked and triple booked and every time she suggested a time she said she had to ask Allie first. After hearing this a few times, I asked to just please have Allie call me. Eventually she did, and I asked please could she squeeze me in somewhere. End of the day, or whenever. She offered nothing other than one weeks away in which I had a doctor appointment. She also mentioned being double booked which I do not like, but I took it anyway and I canceled my doctor appointment. Well then I got a text from Allie telling me donāt come back, ever and all future appointments would be canceled. She stated she did not want clients that did not respect and support her. What???? All I asked was to get in asap and not to have to wait weeks, and wanted to talk to her since the receptionist seemed to have to talk to her before booking me. Maybe it was my reminding her that I am not comfortable with a double-booked appointment. Triple booked? I cant imagine. When you are double booked, you sit and wait while the stylist works on someone else before your done. Since itās happened to me before that Iām left sitting to long and it changes the color my hair should be, I did not like a double-booked appointment and Allie knew this long ago. I have no idea if this pissed her off, but it was nothing we have not discussed before. I was treated very poorly in trying to rebook an appointment Allie canceled at the last minute. I also canceled doctor appointments to accommodate her. This salon is very expensive and you donāt even get the sole attention of your stylist if your double and triple booked. I would not at all recommend Allie to anyone after this, and I would say to her, if you want respect and support from a client, maybe you should learn...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI cannot put into words (but I'm going to try) how wonderful this salon and especially my stylist Candice is!! It was my first time at the salon and I booked it online (very useful) for a full head balayage at 10:30. I have naturally dark brown hair but about 3 months ago dyed it black (professional, not out of the box). I have never had lighter hair, brown or blonde, so I had no idea what to expect. I also have A LOT of hair AND I am VERY VERY tender headed....Candice had her work cut out for her. She was SO helpful, knew exactly what she was talking about and made me feel comfortable right away. She listened to my likes and dislikes and you could tell she truly cared about what was happening. I was in the salon for 8 hours but that is not a fault of them! I have a lot of hair and a lot of work had to be done (color lifting twice, washing three times, blow drying completely dry twice, then the balayage, etc.). It was more than I think both of us expected going into the appointment and I interfered with her other clients' times but she was nothing but patient and balanced everything. The whole salon in fact helped out with washing and drying and literally just getting everything done. I felt as thought they all truly cared about me and my hair, not just rushing to get me out of there. My finished product was BEYOND what I could have asked for and she truly is amazing (and my hair is still as strong if not stronger than when I came in). No damage to my hair AND I could not be happier. Very long review but I just couldn't be more thankful to these ladies
