A Toxic Culture From the Top Down – Avoid This Place at All Costs

You don’t end up with an entire staff this disengaged by accident. It takes time, neglect, and poor leadership to build a culture this toxic—and that’s exactly what’s happening here.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service is not just lacking—it’s nonexistent. The indoor clerks couldn’t have cared less. No one stood up. No one offered help. They wouldn’t even look up a SKU number—we were told to do it ourselves. It was like we were inconveniencing them by showing up ready to spend money.

After making a fairly good purchase, we were sent outside with vague building numbers and left to figure it out on our own. No staff. No help. Forklift drivers were parked, sitting around doing absolutely nothing. When we asked one for help, he didn’t even speak—just pointed and turned back around.

Here’s the thing: one bad apple doesn’t spoil an entire staff. This kind of across-the-board laziness, rudeness, and disrespect only exists when it’s allowed—and even encouraged—from the top down. It’s a culture problem. A leadership failure. You don’t get an entire team like this unless the people in charge either don’t care or are just like them.

For my dad—a man who gets along with anyone, who’s been in construction and business his whole life—to walk away furious and vow to never return… that says everything. This isn’t just about a bad day or a rude employee. It’s about a place that has created, supported, and allowed an environment where this behavior is the norm.

I wouldn’t go back if they were giving away material for free. Don’t waste your time, your money, or your respect here. They clearly don’t...

Terrible experience. We ordered our supplies a WEEK in advance. And they told us that our supplies would be there on Monday morning. They never showed and when we called they said they were waiting on a truck with more materials. Apparently when the truck showed up, it didn’t have our materials and they offered to bring it the next day which wouldn’t do with our time schedule. Again, we placed this order a week in advance. We sat in the 100 degree heat all day waiting for them to come and they didn’t show up until 5:30 and the job site was 10 minutes from their store. Small property so not much room for issues. I’m a trucker so I was delivering in my semi. Arrived at night and parked right outside their gate in a dirt lot. Alone. No other trucks were present. Lots big enough for 2 trucks but note it’s not meant for truck parking. Is employee parking. One employee wanted me to check in at 7am so I could move out their way. I moved around 8:30.
