ALDI — Local services in Bloom Township

I came into this location at 7:59pm. Not realizing they closed at 8pm. As l entered the cashier said we're closed. She was on the walkie talkie telling staff it was 8pm to lock the door. I asked if l could just purchase a case of water only. She still has approximately 3 people in line. She said go ahead. We're closing. I said ok. I'm just grabbing a case of water. As l proceeded towards her lane. Near the restroom. To go down the aisle where the water is located. A guy approached me yelling. It's 8:01. We're closed. You have to leave. I said Sir the cashier said l could grab a case of water. I said that's all I'm getting. He shouted no. It's 8:01. We're closed you need to leave. I said WOW...you don't have to yell. The doors were open. The cashier said l could grab the water. I then asked who is your Manager. He said me. We're closed and you need to leave. As l proceeded to turn around and head for the door. I said excuse me three times. He continued to walk away ignoring me. Pulling down a shade or covering near the freezer/self serve salad area near the entrance. I said excuse me. What's your name. He said why Ivan. I said ok thank you and l left. I felt that was so unnecessary, disrespectful and embarrassing. I'm an assistant manager in retail. If myself or my staff forget to lock the door on time or 1minute before closing and that customer gains access due to not locking the door at exactly closing. It is our responsibility to still serve them, lnforming them we're closing in one minute. Whole asking them if there coming for a order pick up or shop. If they need to browse and want to shop. We politely asked them if they could return during normal business hours. Not shout through the store unprofessionally amongst the customers leaving as well as the customers checking out. Very very unprofessional and surely didn't lead by example for his fellow associates nor his corporation. Rude and Sad. I will take my business elsewhere. One customer won't stop the corporation from gaining revenue. But l won't spend another dollar at this...

I usually don't post this sort of posts, however today was different. I stopped at this location as it was on my way to Jewel down the street. I had just under 300.00 in groceries, mostly because I needed meat, I have only been to this location maybe 3 times. I went to self check out right in front of the only register open. The cashier was in the middle of ringing up a customer and she says mam! The only reason I turned around was because it was so loud! The cashier said you can check out over here, I don't have anyone in line, as I am literally ringing up my items, I said oh no I would rather ring up my own items, there was an uncomfortable pause, I said is that okay with you? The lady said yes, I said okay good, thing is I would rather scan and bag my items as I go verses the cashier throwing my items in the cart, then I have to go and sort and bag all of the items just thrown in my cart. Saves me time and energy, plus my items aren't thrown in my cart, as I have experienced with this location, also want to note your store had another cashier at a register hollering self check out number such and such open..just such an unprofessional shoppong environment . This is why we don't shop in our own community. Also at this location there is always homeless people standing at front door begging. This will be my last trip to...
