Please be aware if you pre-order several things like I did. I ordered a lamb rack, 3 lbs lamb shoulder (cut into cubes for kabobs), and 2lbs ground lamb. Well, they put the 7lb lamb rack on top of the shoulder cubes and ground lamb. There was lamb blood everywhere, unbeknownst to me, and it got into my car's trunk carpet. The packages of those smashed items opened too. I had a mess to clean up...not sure if my trunk is completely cleaned/sanitized. So after I spent about $142 on these items, the only thing that stayed relatively sealed was the heaviest item (the rack) that was placed on top of the small items. I'm very angry about this, and it should never have happened.
Edit: I took the lamb rack back because they did it wrong. They first gave me 2 racks still connected to the backbone. How the heck can I do anything with that. So all they did to fix it was they used their rotation saw to split the backbone in half. I didn't realize that's all they did to separate the two. They gave me one, which I ordered, but again when I got home... there was half of a backbone connected to my lamb rack. How in the world was I supposed to slice it after it was cooked. I was not able to properly separate after cooking the lamb. It was more of a pain than what it was worth. I'm NEVER going there again for my meat. I will be going to College Hills...

I realize that some people feel that being acknowledged by staff is them screaming “HELLO” at you when you walk in the door. I personally find that to be irritating beyond measure.
I like my shopping experience to be such that when you ask for help it is given quickly, and professionally. other than that the price needs to be competitive, and selection should be competitive with other local vendors. I found that Bloomington Meats runs it’s store exactly like I like it.
I am here to buy meat, not socialize. It is not a barbershop, and I don’t need to have the employees attempt to have a heart to heart with me every time I come...
Read moreI put in an order for 12 pounds of organ meat for my dogs ( English Mastiff and a mud) every 4 days. I spoke to the owner and he said he would take care of it. On my first order, Bloomington meats gave me only 9 pounds so my dog enough for 3 days of food. Today I call to see if the next order is ready to be picked up, and then they said that they do not have it available ➡️ anymore ⬅️ and I can go somewhere else if I like to. He also babbled something about that he has to pay more than he sells it for. I am very unhappy with the lack of care I received and with the change of mind. He sent a paying customer away and I did not ask to get a special price I just wanted to be able to feed my dogs every day. I am still a little in disbelieve. Terrible...
