Tiffany and Alan are good nail techs. I have been going to this nail shop for about 2 years now. I absolutely love the product they use and the work they do. it is honesty different from all the other shops. That is the main reason why I kept being their customer. On October 9, 2018 was the last day I decided to stop being their customer. I went in October 4, 2018 for a fill and I brought my sister along for a full set. My nail broke while cleaning my dinning table the day after. My sister's had 2 broken nails as well. The day my nail broke I sent a text to Tiffany and Alan explaining to them that my nail had broke and if they could let me know when they were available and how much it would be to get it fixed. They read it but never replied. I left it alone because I know they are busy. I let the weekend and Monday go by. I still didn't get a reply so Tuesday I showed up an hour before they closed. Google says they close at 8 PM and on their door at the shop it say they close at 8 PM. I arrived at 6:30 PM, she asked me what I wanted. I explained to her that I had texted them about my broken nail and received nothing back. I waited for her to respond if she was able to fix my sister's and my nails, again I didn't get answer so I waited. Tiffany was with a customer and I could tell she was bothered by me walking in. Remind you that her door has a sign that says walk-in's welcomed. When she was done with our nails, I accidently smeared my polish and I went up to her and she fixed it in a angry way. I said thank you and didn't get a "your welcome" or anything. I was bothered by her attidude and vibe but I finished drying my nails and I asked her how much I owed her. I went up and gave her my card, she pointed to a sign and I read it. saying after you leave the shop they aren't responsible for them and if wanted fixed it would $5 cash only. I asked her what about it? In a rude manner she asked "you don't know english?" I was very offended. So I said yes I read it but why are you showing me it? she said "you have to bring cash" I just said okay. She gave me my card back and I told her Tiffany I would appreciate it if as your customer you guys don't ignore me or simply tell me you no longer want me as your customer. she yelled at me and said "you get your nails done, be quiet and leave". I tried explaining myself that as their customer I didn't feel welcome, she cut me off and started yelling at me threatening me that she would call the cops. I honestly didn't feel like she needed to do that because I was not the one yelling at her. I simply was trying to communicate with her that I really loved her work but Everytime she did my nails I didn't feel welcome. I felt like she had an attitude. As I tried to explain myself she blamed me for not making it to her daughter's gymnastics. As her client I don't know her everyday schedule. I respected that they get booked, again I didn't receive an answer so I did a walk in. She could have communicated to me that she had somewhere to be and that they would close before 8 and I would have understood and came back a day that she was available. She had no communication with me. I have seen her catch an attitude with a couple of her clients but not the way acted with me. Before I walked out her shop she threaten me saying she had my credit card number and phone number. I told her she could do what she wanted but the trouble would be for her not me. I also adviced her to be careful how she acts and speaks with her customers because just like she lost one she could lose many more. Everyone who knows her would never expect this kind of act from her, it really surprised me! I should have been able to tell her what bothered me without a problem, as a business women she should've handled things better. Her and her husband are the only ones who work there so I couldn't complain to anyone else, remind you I was not rude about it at all. I was more professional about it than she was. My mother is Caucasian so there is not any haste in my words. I was staying in a nearby Hotel while my new home is being prepared. I googled this place; read the reviews so I gave them a call they were courteous on the phone. However once I got there and they saw my caramel complexion, they gave me a whole different treatment. I was spoken to rudely multiple times, which, by the way, I ignored. I've been treated rudely before, which, to me, seems ridiculous when I paying $50 to get my feet done and $35 to get my hands done. I mentioned that the chair that I was sitting in for my spa service was not working. I was asked if the machine was on? replied yes. Then I was told to leave and that they were no longer going to provide me with the service. I asked why? I was told I was complaining. I said about what? He said you complain about my chair. I said I only mentioned that it wasn't working. By the way I was the only customer in the store. There were several other chairs I could have used however I said nothing regarding them. I explained to him I felt as if he's been treating me very rude and disrespectful they called the police on me. If you are a BLACK person, do not go here. because you will be trespassed. This was forced upon me as I said I did nothing wrong they told me if I did not sign a no trespassing document that I would be arrested even though I had done nothing wrong.
The neighbors next door at the Mediterranean restaurant were extremely kind and helpful they spoke about how peaceful I was while I was in their stores so it seemed to them it made no sense for me to go next door and act rudely. I wish I had read the reviews before I went because they really will not want to serve you if you are black and will treat you like absolute trash. I had walked in and showed them a picture of the simple French tip design that I wanted. Tiffany’s attitude is disgusting. you would think she gets paid to be racist. she says that the price she previously quoted me was incorrect and added an additional $10 because of the “deepness of the French tip and I said that’s completely fine. I just want a short french tip nail design. I had pulled up another picture and she said she could do that for the price that she quoted me. as I’m sitting there she continues to talk and is discussing with the person who she’s doing a pedicure for about my pricing and my tip and talking about how the design is totally different. I put in my AirPods because I just didn’t want to hear anymore and didn’t really have time to go back-and-forth with her. I was sitting there for about 15 minutes. No one had worked on my nails yet. There’s only one other person in the salon who is getting a pedicure and there’s the husband who’s just walking around and then some other lady who was behind where you get your manicure done sitting there on her phone. Tiffany then says oh you’re unhappy I won’t be able to serve you. I literally was not talking to anybody. I had my headphones in and was on my phone. I asked her what do you mean we agreed on pricing why are we still talking about this? She goes on to say no you’re unhappy I won’t be able to serve you. I don’t like the way you talk. then her husband comes out behind her I guess trying to provide some reinforcement? Saying yes, you need to leave. I don’t need to be told twice. i took my things and left. i am shocked because I did absolutely nothing. and I am shocked that I was treated with such disrespect.
