Good lord, what a disaster that was on a busy night. You start out on the main road, cars driving willy-nilly some in the lane, some on the shoulder. Where should you be to get to parking? who knows there's no sign until your at the intersection. Now you're trying to turn around in this little town with poorly timed lights, dodging the pedestrians. Your spouse is giving you an earful that you missed a godd@mn turn. You make it back to the parking line, wait for 25mins until you pull up to the gate. Here you'll find a minor asking for $5. You hand the lil fella a fiver and they give you a parking pass.
You follow the rest of the caravan of cars who are being directed by people with little lightsabers. They flag you this way, and that way. You're snaking through the muddy field of parked cars. No spots, but flaggers keep beckoning you forwards saying "Just go this way to park!". You follow their directions and BOOM now you're back out on the main road and outside the fair. Thank you for your $5 and 25min driving...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreParking is always fair and reasonably priced. Iād always park here and avoid trying to find free side streets in downtown Bloom. The only thing that Iād recommend, is that when you come in the afternoon or PM - they try to keep parking people rows out down at the bottom. The truth is if you just ignore the individual pointing to park you a 1/2 mile out; you can drive to the front rows where āearly birdsā parked and left by noon. Nobody seems to āreparkā in this open spots. I went two times in the PM this year and was at rows 5 & 6 with a two mins walk to gate. Seemed to make the parking boys a little unhappy I kept driving past them but it makes no sense. If Iām paying - Iām going to attempt to get the best parking available. Worst case is to circle back down and park in the end of the field...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNice fair but not anything mind blowing. Pretty much what you can find at any fair. The best is the skyway that offers fantastic views of the fair. Most people were extremely rude; forgot excuse me or I'm sorry; be more ready pushing and cutting off. It's also extremely crowded on weekends. I'm glad I went but don't feel the need...
