Progressive Desk - Adjustable Standing Desks — Local services in Blue Ash

Purchased the largest Ryzen corner desk frame in black with the white 2 piece top. The desk frame itself is excellent, 10/10. I have experience with several standing desks over the last decade and this is as good as the more expensive ones. Easy to put together, sturdy and quick ascension and descension on the motors.

The problem is the top. It's not the best quality 6/10. Looks nice but the density of the MDF used is of lower quality. My last desktop from autonomous AI desk was rock solid and had a heavy laminated coating on it, almost as if it was dipped. The Ryzen top is cheaper with a glued on veneer to each surface. The density of the MDF is the real issue. The fasteners chew up the desk material pretty easily and its very likely to fail at some point the more I use it or move it. The corner desk requires 2 pieces that meet at a cross section, and attach to each part of the frame. The two sections must be braced at the cross section to "secure". I was diligent in my install to make sure there were no gaps and it lined up perfectly. I also made sure to use the 2 brace plates on the underside. But when attaching the braces, the screws just sunk into the MFD and did not secure, they just spun in the holes. After I flipped the desk right side up I could immediately see that the desk top was a bit warped and it sags a bit, so the braces did nothing. I figured it wouldn't be that big of a deal but once I started attaching monitors and rest of my desk items, it exaggerated the sag. I will have to buy a stronger brace and better screws to fix it. Even then its not going to be up to par.

It will do for now but I see myself trashing the top and replacing it with something from another company that works better. Hell even Ikea has a sturdier top than this. I know because I build one for my wife using it and its still kicking after 7 years.

Other than the top, its really good. All the accessories, grommets with power outlets, etc... all work perfectly.

My suggestion to the company would be to source better tops from another...

Ordered a large Ryzen corner desk configuration. I am coming from a solid wood corner desk, so one of my fears was stability/quality of the desk and what it feels like when standing, etc. All of my fears were put to the side when the desk arrived; this thing is built like a tank! Assembly was easy (although it does take time), with the exception of the guidance for where to place the secondary desk bracket when attaching to the primary desk; that requires me to re-do the alignment after I put the tabletops on, and I’d think the assembly video could have made it very obvious instead of “adjust based on the size of secondary desk you have” (paraphrasing). I have 2 widescreen monitors on an articulating arm and a full-sized laser printer sitting on the tabletops, and there is very little movement if I lean on or bump the tabletops. When I raise the desk for standing there is also little movement, so I’m really happy. I chose the cable management trays and magnetic cable management channels, both were easy to attach and work extremely well. I went with the AC outlet/USB grommet option for two of the grommet holes, and have found having plugins and USB options readily available for mobile devices extremely handy. The standard grommet covers are metal and hold tight to the desk, which is great when you’re routing cables through the rubber section. Couple things here on why I gave this company a 5 star rating. First when I purchased the desk it looked/worked exactly as ordered which was great. Quality is top notch

Movers lost almost all the parts and I thought it was hopeless and I lost my desk.

Went online with an employee named Anton. He was incredible. In SECONDS he understood what I needed and through several back and forth AND a PDF of ALL the parts of my desk, we managed to put together the list of everything missing.

Henceforth (as President of my company with multiple employees and cities) my order is to ONLY buy from the company. Worth every penny and they actually cared when (mind you not their fault this happened) things went south. They got me BACK to normal with respect of my time and pocketbook.

Finally my employees LOVE the risers. DIdn't know it meant that much to them but it does. The younger generation really appreciates a boss that cares. I noticed that since installing these desks productivity has increased.
