Ashland Company Store — Local services in Bluefield

So, to start, seemed very great and honest. Was told if we had any issues with the rental not to worry etc etc especially the deposit only being a worry if the machine becomes undriveable. So we had zero issues throughout the entire weekend. Except one incident, a drunk. A drunk person came FLYING around a tight corner near a cliff which caused us to veer into the right side embankment to avoid the entire accident. As you can imagine, the machine survived a few scrapes along the right side, but we escaped with our lives, and the machine still perfectly intact. Under the impression we were given when first being given the rental, this type of situation wouldn’t be a problem. However, a day after returning it, we get a “quote” stating $3000 in damages. Mind you, the quote is specifically stating scratches and scrapes along the right side. Never were we asked what happened, nor did we think to say, because again, the impression we were first given. On the quote states we flipped the machine which is NOT the case at all. And now our deposit is being taken to “fix the damages”. Mind you, scratches and scrapes is NORMAL wear and tear on machines being used off-road. We were scammed, and we were lied to, now most importantly, we were STOLEN FROM!!!!!!...

This place is a hidden treasure. The employees are fantastic and most helpful. It is small and yet has EVERYTHING you could need. The laundry facilty is extremely clean and the washers/dryers are fantastic and they clean your clothes very well, not like some ive seen. The restroom in the Ashland Co Store is most impressive, and the cleanest public restroom I've EVER seen (not recommended, but you could lierally eat off the floor!!) With all of the mud and dirt that goes thru there, they keep it spotless! Great place, will most definitely go back. Thank you store crew for being awesome!!!...

We rented a RZR 1000 XP from Ashland Company Store, and it was a blast! Alyssa got us totally hooked up after a problem, which wasn't even their fault! Great customer service! Instead of towing our machines down next time, we will be renting again on our next trip!

Excited to hear/see that they'll be offering food/restaurant soon! Trail 12 from Ashland Resort is a quick ride through the trails to get there.
