Tri-Cities Flea Market Review: A Disappointing Experience
Reflecting on my time as a vendor at the Tri-Cities Flea Market, I can't help but feel disappointed by the overall experience. Despite being a part of this marketplace for over seven months, the journey has been fraught with challenges and frustrations, overshadowing any positive aspects. Here's a candid review of my time at the Tri-Cities Flea Market:
Atmosphere: The atmosphere at the Tri-Cities Flea Market is lackluster at best. The once-promising energy of the marketplace has dwindled over time, with fewer crowds and a noticeable decline in foot traffic. The lack of excitement and enthusiasm among shoppers has made it difficult to generate interest in my products and services.
Vendor Community: While there are a few friendly faces among the vendor community, the overall sense of camaraderie is sorely lacking. Many vendors keep to themselves, and there is a distinct lack of support and collaboration. It's disheartening to see fellow vendors view each other as competitors rather than allies in the marketplace.
Management: My interactions with market management have been disappointing, to say the least. Communication is often poor, with little transparency or accountability. Issues and concerns raised by vendors are frequently brushed aside or ignored, leaving us feeling undervalued and unsupported.
Customer Engagement: Engaging with customers at the Tri-Cities Flea Market has been a constant struggle. Despite my best efforts to showcase my products and engage with shoppers, it feels like an uphill battle to attract and retain customers. The lack of interest and enthusiasm from shoppers further compounds the challenges of running a successful business at the flea market.
Vendor Disputes: Vendor disputes are all too common at the Tri-Cities Flea Market, further adding to the frustrations of being a vendor. From disagreements over stall space to conflicts regarding product quality, navigating disputes with fellow vendors is draining and demoralizing. The lack of effective conflict resolution mechanisms only exacerbates the problem.
Overall Experience: Overall, my experience at the Tri-Cities Flea Market has been deeply disappointing. Despite my best efforts to make the most of my time here, the numerous challenges and frustrations have overshadowed any positive aspects. It's disheartening to invest time, effort, and resources into a venture that offers so little in return.
Final Verdict: In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend the Tri-Cities Flea Market to fellow vendors or shoppers. The lackluster atmosphere, poor management, and constant challenges make it a difficult and unrewarding environment to operate in. Unless significant improvements are made, I see little reason to continue my involvement with this marketplace.

Read moreThis place is not pet friendly at all. I went there today to try to give some kittens away and my daughter and her boyfriend wanted to sell some things. First, they drove by where I was set up and never informed me that you are not allowed to have any animals at all. Then they drove by me again and still no word. Then they lady came around to collect the money for your both, saw the kittens, and still no word said. Later some men came up and gave me a piece of paper and it said that as of April 22,2018 tri cities flea market states no pets allowed or no type of animals can be sold. Now mind you this website does not state no pets. I had already been there for a couple hours then these two men came up, asked me if I had any kittens let. I informed him that I had one left and very rudely stated I had to pack up and leave the market. I informed him that I wanted my money back if they were forcing me to leave. He stated I had to go to the office. I went to the office stating I wanted to make a complaint and I wanted my money back if they were making me leave. She asked me if I only had the kittens and informed her no and she stated she wasn't giving me back my money. She also was very rude and had an attitude. I informed her that the lady that took our money for the table should have said something then and she was even sitting there and agreeded she saw the kittens. This manager or what ever she was still very rude continued to give me attitude and a bunch of bull about not allowed to give kittens away in the state of Tennessee. Believe you me I gave her attitude back and stated I wanted my money back and then she stated that I can stay but not to ever come back with animals. They sure don't have to worry about that as I will never go back to that flea market again. And if you look, this site still does not have anything about no animals. From talking to slot of people there and vendors, they don't agree how things were handled there and stated they might not go back there either. If you run a business you need to act professionally and not try to bully people and treat them like I was...
Read moreYesterday I was getting ready to leave. I had finished shopping and was going to my car. On the way a guy that had once lived in my neighborhood stopped me and told me that he had had a disagreement with one of the vendors and had forgot his phone if and mehis bank card Iand ID was in the case with it. He asked me if I would get it for him s there wouldn't be any more trouble and I told him that I would. The vendors at first lied to me and said that they hadn't seen a phone do I went to the office to check to see if if anyone had turned one in. The " so-called manager said no but then asked another lady working in the office and she give her the phone. Before I had a chance to explain that I was just trying to keep down anymore trouble she got in my face told me to take my phone leave the premises and banned me from ever coming back. I tried telling her that I didn't have anything to do with it. That she could go asked those guys. She kept telling me that she didn't care and didn't want to hear anything that I had to say. The guy that had the the altercation seen that I was having trouble with this lady and was trying to tell her that it was him she threatened time after time to call the law and telling me not to come back or she would file charges. So my advice to anyone that shops they're is to not shop there go to the Jonesboro flea market or Abingdon what kinda woman is a mgr. of a flea market. Probably one that dropped out of school and doesn't have much education. That's like be mgr. of a junkyard. If anyone knows how to get hold of the owner...
