I have NO idea how this store has such good reviews. Everyone I met there today was sad and complained about the prices. My experience, twice... Store is dated and needs repairs. The ceilings were literally falling apart on my daughter and I. We had to maneuver around buckets catching water on the floor. An older lady did hit it and splashed water, hope no one got hurt. The meat department had meat but it was all dated for tomorrow!!!! (Except steaks) No great choices...the produce looked used and abandoned. There is name brand then best choice only on some items. No great generic options. The best choice was just as expensive as name brand if not higher. WHO SALES REGULAR DORITOS FOR THE SUGGESTED PRICE? $4.29????? I really wanted to empty my cart and run! These prices are atrocious!!!! The customer service is non existent. Workers don't smile, won't help, and get uppity when you call them out on charging too much. I cannot wait to speak to the owners, Which I found out was Food Giant. I know one unhappy person doesnt change much but I spend at least $500 a month in groceries and it does add up. Shopping here I would easily spend 3 times that, NOT IN THIS LIFE! Moral of the story: it should be illegal to overcharge customers, just because your only competition is walmart doesn't mean you can price gouge, customer service should be top priority since WE pay your bills, and don't sale ANYTHING for the suggested price. Bad business. I think it is safe to say that I was unhappy...

What a great grocery store! Staff are friendly and helpful. They have butchers in the meat department. Yes, people, real life butchers that will help you with your order. They have some excellent fried chicken made fresh everyday. Pre-made bagged lunches for workers and kids on the go. Lunchmeat sliced to order. Prices are good on just about everything. A great local store that is employee owned. I can't say enough...

I was in town for a day. I had heard about the deli meats at Maxwell's so decided to go. I was very impressed at the courteous employees especially the cashiers and meat/deli departments . I left with some fried bologna biscuits and a trunk full of meats. I was really impressed with the Head Butcher. Provided "Outstanding Customer Service!" Am looking forward to going back to this store the next time...
