Phelan Family Brands — Local services in Bonita Springs

We had a party of six dinner, DEEP LAGOON ! My opinion only. The waitress was less than cordial! Table for six only had 5 place settings and menus. I suggested we needed another setting! NOTHING. The other four guest arrived. We were seated on the out door rail. Fans blowing high Screens kept going up and down. The service was ok. My serving was terrible. Cold, dry and half toasted bun. I order clams from menu. Cold as ice. Was ment to be warm with sauce that was very cold clams had good flavor but not appetizing at all. The five fish dishes were delivered randomly and mostly cold. When sun went down with fans on high the sitting was miserable. We went inside to bar to have a drink. Bar tender was terrific but swamped. Needed help with bar back. OMG. I just left Deep Lagoon. Please for everyone’s sake DO NOT GO THERE. I DO NOT WRITE REVIEWS AT ALL but I just witnessed what appeared to be a manager berate an employee on the floor. The manager is a long haired lady and the employee is a hostess that we have chatted with before. I don’t know what happened but OH. MY. GOODNESS. Not very professional. My family and I visit Deep Lagoon all the time to where we know (what we consider to be) most of the people that work there (wait staff, bartenders, hostesses) and have never seen this before. Sadly, I can honestly say we will never go back to this location. If Deep Lagoon wants to employee a manager who treats their staff like this, we will exercise our choice to not visit anymore. Sorry Deep Lagoon…it’s been a great ride. Now I will have to figure out how to make the Chili Rub Tripletail...

I read the terrific article on the front page of the NDN with Grant’s interview. How proud are those of us who know the Phelan family and their success of their enterprise. Thank you for not selling your lands to commercial developers. Everyone I know is commenting on that specific part of the article ( and clapping). Your Mom, Dad, wife and you Grant have so much to be proud...
