Farm & Fleet is one of those stores that truly caters to a wide range of needs, and that’s what makes it stand out. Whether you’re a farmer, a homeowner, a DIYer, or just someone looking for dependable gear or supplies, there’s something here for everyone. The variety is impressive—you can walk in for bird seed and leave with a new pair of boots, auto parts, and a cozy flannel shirt. It’s a true Midwestern staple that blends the practical with the convenient.
One of the best things about Farm & Fleet is the product quality. You’ll find reliable brands in everything from power tools and tires to clothing and pet food. Their Carhartt and Wrangler selections are excellent for people who work outdoors or just like durable, no-nonsense clothing. The automotive section is especially strong, offering great deals on tires, batteries, and fluids, and the staff usually knows their stuff when you have a question or need help choosing the right product.
The store is also a great resource for farm and rural supplies. Whether it’s fencing, feed, or livestock care, Farm & Fleet stocks items that big-box stores often overlook. Even if you don’t live on a farm, the lawn and garden section is fantastic—tools, seeds, planters, and outdoor gear are all reasonably priced and built to last. They also carry seasonal items like snow blowers, grills, and patio furniture, which makes it an easy stop year-round.
Their pet section is another highlight, with a wide range of food, toys, and health products for dogs, cats, birds, and even livestock. Compared to other stores, their prices are fair and often come with sales or bulk discounts, which is a huge plus for pet owners with multiple animals.
Now, there are a couple of areas where Farm & Fleet falls just short of a full five stars. First, the store layout can sometimes feel a bit outdated or cluttered, especially when they’re restocking or running big seasonal promotions. It’s not always easy to find things unless you know the store well, and signage could be improved in some locations. Additionally, while many employees are friendly and helpful, staffing can be light during busy hours, so you might wait a bit for help or checkout.
That said, the pros absolutely outweigh the cons. Between the great selection, dependable products, and reasonable pricing, Farm & Fleet remains one of the most trustworthy and useful stores out there—especially for people who like getting everything they need in one place. It’s a mix of old-school reliability and small-town service with modern variety and convenience. If you’re looking for practical, well-priced goods without the big-box fuss, Farm & Fleet delivers time...

Read moreEditing my initial review. This is only based on their automotive batteries and their supposed warranty. The replacement battery mentioned in my original review again began having problems for no reason. Alternator was replaced a few years ago and still tests good. You could jump start it and drive it around. But if you let it sit for a day or two the battery would be dead again. Took the vehicle back to them and they tested it, said it was bad. Went in to the service counter and was told since it was replaced once that they would only prorate it. Was going to cost me like $150 to replace their substandard battery. Ended up just going to Walmart to get a battery. Probably going to last just as long and the cost was less than the prorated amount. My point is while this location is good for some things they are selling junk batteries at a huge price with a supposed 7 year warranty that don't make it anywhere near that long. Then they don't honor the warranty the next time their junk batteries fail. Shoddy business practice.
Bought a battery here for my wife's vehicle a couple years ago. Their best one. Unsure exactly what happened but it just recently died, completely. Wouldn't start, wouldn't jump. Checked voltage and read just under 3 volts. Took it out and returned it to farm and fleet. They gave me a new battery no questions asked. Have returned other things for various reasons and never had a problem. They definitely stand behind...
