I actually stopped coming here 2 years ago. I used to come all the time and the price was fair. I was really encouraged with new ownership fixing things. For me to golf at this stage in life, I need to bring my 3 and 6 year old to ride along. It was never an issue before and I certainly wouldn’t be upset paying a little extra for them to ride along in a golf cart as they don’t play, but I was told I would have to pay an extra cart and full golf fees for both the 3 and 6 year old. I explained my shock and tried to make sense of even paying a second golf cart fee when neither of them could drive a cart. It seems their policies are inconsistent and out of touch, therefore I have gone to other local courses like honey creek and don williams. This courses issue consequentially helped me find some awesome courses not too far away that I love more.
The convenience of in town was nice and that’s the only reason the rating is higher than a one, along with the fact it seemed they were trying to fix the course. unfortunately, until they come up with a reasonable approach to help golfers who can’t leave their children behind, I’ll no longer come and realistically, it will probably take a complete update of the course as well as I’ll be at the stage soon where my kids are starting to golf. The other two local courses are far better, so even in my next stage and retirement stage it will be a hard draw to earn my...
Read moreNice course, but driving range is consistently closed at peak times and often times when hitting balls there are workers on the range and it is a distraction and safety issue. $10 for a bucket is excessive considering the poor quality of the balls and the range machine doesn't fill the basket to the top. Green fees went up and now I will look for alternate courses. The short game area, including sand trap is only for college team use! And it's always empty! Very Frustrating!! Advice: Post range closing times online, lower LG Bucket of balls to $8, get new range balls, open short game area to EVERYONE! This is how you...
Read moreCedar Pointe golf course was an excellent spot. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition; the person working the counter was nice and got us sorted out quickly. The fairways are very open, so it's easy to slice a way right and still be playing. There was a hole or two where houses were tight on the right side that made it challenging. Overall, I plan on going back next year several times. One of the best courses I've played...
