I have been involved with the gym/fitness since high school. Once I started college, being away from home and not having a consistent schedule set me back causing me to gain some weight and not have the best relationship with my body. I moved back home and seeing both of my parents involved with the gym made me motivated to take training more seriously. My mom was already training with Omar. Having seen my mom’s transformation and her dedication to the gym after starting personal training made me motivated to start as well.

Some obstacles I have faced since starting training was being accountable outside of my training days. At the beginning it was easy making excuses for myself because I wasn’t comfortable with working out alone. Showing up on days that I was really tired has been the biggest obstacle and still is to this day. What has kept me motivated to continue was my Dad. My father has been training with LFA and with Coach Dre for some time now. Seeing him show up for himself for runs and early morning workouts has proven to me that I could do it to. He pushes me on days that I feel like I can’t and motivates me to be the best version of myself every day.

If I could offer one piece of advice it would be that no matter what this journey is for you and you only. It’s okay to start over, because I did. It’s okay to make small goals. But, turn those goals into something bigger as your journey progresses and you feel more confident. It’s a lifetime of commitment but it’s so rewarding when you...

I've been training with Jeff for about a year and a half, and I can't emphasize enough how exceptional my fitness journey has been. His guidance and the LiveFitArmy community create an environment where successes are celebrated together.

Jeff's in-depth knowledge and genuine passion for helping clients were evident from day one. He scheduled an initial meeting to understand my fitness goals and design a personalized training program that pushes me to achieve my full potential. Jeff's enthusiasm and positive energy are contagious, making each session enjoyable. He provides constant support, encouragement, and motivation, which plays a pivotal role in keeping me focused and committed to my goals. Jeff's ability to push me just the right amount while still being mindful of my individual capabilities is a testament to his skill as a trainer.

LiveFitArmy thrives on the vibrant community fostered by Jeff, Dre, and Omar, making it truly exceptional. They ensure every member is challenged and encouraged on their journey, which promotes a motivating and inclusive atmosphere. From my personal experience, I have seen how this brings people together to uplift each other.

If you're looking to join a community while on your fitness journey, I wholeheartedly recommend LiveFitArmy. Trust me; you won't be...

When I met Dree two things were evident: his love for his wife, children and his commitment to helping the people in his community achieve their highest potential through health and fitness. On my first day of our 1:1 I felt like I was going to throw-up and I probably did LOL. At times my mind would get in the way and so I had doubts. But Dree did not allow me to go down that rabbit whole, instead he would pull me right out by making me do that extra set I didn’t think I could do. Dree did not allow me to give up. He assured me that with time I would get better and sure enough I did. As the weeks have progressed, I have noticed my ability to keep going with less breaks. What stands out from Dree and the LFA team from other trainers is their integrity, humble attitude, and again commitment to help those who want to improve their health and therefore improve their quality of life.

The LFA team makes me feel part of a community/family that supports me but most importantly, pushes me to do things I didn’t feel like I was physically capable of doing. Though many see the physical changes that are happening, there is also a mental shift happening. Less moments of “I can’t” and more “Fuk! Yes I can!!” And THAT is everything.

If you are looking for an amazing group of trainers, look no...

When I began this journey, I wasn’t in a great place. I knew I needed a change—not just for who I was at that moment, but for the future version of me who would need to be stronger. As a last-ditch effort, I decided to hire a personal trainer. Since then, I’ve discovered not only the strength I was seeking but so much more—confidence, discipline, mental clarity, and even community—all of which have become essential for my growth. My biggest obstacle has been my own inner critic. There have been many moments when I hit a plateau or even regressed, leaving me frustrated and tempted to quit. Dre has taught me to truly understand what 1% better means—that showing up, even during setbacks, is still progress, even when it doesn’t feel like it. This mental shift has impacted not just my fitness journey, but many other areas of my life as well. Nutrition remains one of my bigger challenges, and I still have my slip-ups. However, those detours don’t last as long when I refocus on where I want my future self to be. My advice to anyone starting their fitness journey is to embrace the fear that comes with it. Do things scared. I was afraid to go to the gym, join the run club, and build a new lifestyle—but pushing through that fear was the key to my growth.

When I moved to Boston in 2017 I was in search of a community. One that looked like me, included young professionals and like minded people. I was particularly interested in becoming a stronger and healthier individual and this is when I was introduced to Dre Neita, founder of Live Fit Army (LFA). From personal training to rigorous boot camps and weekly runs, LFA immediately felt like family. I’ve learned so much through my personal fitness journey; from nutrition, to listening to my body and pushing myself to new limits. In 2021 I began running with the team and shortly realized that I enjoyed running in a group setting. Attending weekly runs with Coach Dre, James and Andy motivated me to want to run a marathon with the team. This past year a group of us signed up for the Chicago Marathon. Its safe to say it was a transformational experience. I was able to reach new heights of mental and physical achievement. It’s an experience I will never forget and encourage others to experience at least once in their life time. If you're looking for guidance in your fitness journey or simply want to be in community and looking for a healthy outlet consider reaching out to the LFA team; Coach Dre, Omar or Jeff don't disappoint.
