
Disappointed with the Boulder City Horseman’s Association
I am deeply disappointed with my experience at the Boulder City Horseman’s Association. What should be a safe and well-managed equestrian community is instead plagued by serious concerns that cannot be overlooked.
First and foremost, the association lacks proper liability insurance, putting members and their horses at unnecessary risk. This is a critical issue for any equestrian facility and speaks to a broader lack of responsible management. Additionally, the facilities are poorly maintained, with unkempt grounds and inadequate upkeep that compromise both safety and usability.
Beyond the physical conditions, the lack of enforceable rules creates an environment of inconsistency and favoritism. Bullying among members is not only tolerated but, in some cases, seems to be enabled by leadership. Worse still, I have witnessed mistreatment of horses that goes unaddressed, raising serious ethical concerns.
An organization meant to support and foster a love for horses and riding should prioritize safety, accountability, and respect—for both people and animals. Unfortunately, the Boulder City Horseman’s Association falls short in every regard. I strongly urge others to consider these issues before...
Read moreWhen started at BCHA with Cendi Remington lot. It was great learning a lot and my daughter grew up there. Unfortunately over the years new members came in. I will not mention names. I can tell you no longer enjoyed spending time there. Too much drama and yelling!!! Some members that have been there for years. Great family and helpful!!! Now sold my lot and it was time to move on far away from all the drama etc. Now in Kentucky meeting very nice, helpful horse people that love horses. No drama or yelling!!! My senior horse can enjoy his time in green pastures all day and evenings. Indoor arena no rules and can use anytime want to. Thank you for the beginning but happy left and moved to Kentucky!!!
