The fish stocking program below Davis Dam stinks. They try to blame it on covid like they do everything else, but it's just an excuse for bad management. I'm not to sure if a couple of 3 year old kids couldn't do it better. They say that they don't want people to gang up to catch the trout, but I've fished the river a lot and I've never seen more than 10 or less fishing at a time, and always 6' apart or more. You have to go almost every day of the week between 10am and 2pm and wait till they stock, because they don't stick around for long. Our license pays for the trout, but because of poor management, it's almost like playing a slot machine. It doesn't pay most...
Read moreThis area is kept clean; take what you bring! Not very crowded, we went on a Sunday at the end of February. We did a kayaking tour, which it seems all of them leave from the same area. I didn't see any bathrooms, but they have pic in tables...

Only downside was having to wait for all the other tour groups in order to get in the cave for pictures. It was a hot boring wait and if you go with the tour you cannot go back you have to stay. Still worth the trip, unless you can get there on your own and want to rent kayaks at the store onsite, which is a good...
