Willow Beach is a beautiful spot, but if you’re visiting on a Sunday, be aware that there’s not a lot of activity happening. We visited on a Sunday, and unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, which was a bit disappointing since we were looking forward to grabbing a bite after exploring. The entrance fee is $25, and with limited activities available that day, it did feel like a bit of a waste.
It’s important to note that personal watercraft (like jet skis) are only allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, so if you’re hoping for some water fun, make sure to plan your visit accordingly. On Sundays, you’ll mainly find people enjoying the peaceful scenery and taking in the stunning views of the water and surrounding landscape.
That said, the area is incredibly well-maintained. The views are absolutely beautiful, with the Colorado River offering a serene backdrop for a relaxing day out. The facilities are clean, and the beach area itself is very tidy. If you’re into nature, it’s a great place to take a stroll or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Overall, Willow Beach is a lovely spot, but make sure to pick the right day for your visit if you’re looking for more activities. While the natural beauty is worth seeing, Sunday visits might not offer enough to justify the entrance fee if you’re expecting more amenities or...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at Willow Beach Campground, and I feel compelled to share our story. This is by far the most unfriendly and non-family-oriented place we have ever visited. We were shocked when the cops were called on us at 8 PM—yes, 8 PM—because the kids were playing a simple game of hide-and-go-seek. To make matters worse, earlier in the day, they were told they couldn’t play baseball in the afternoon.
We came here hoping for a fun and relaxing time to celebrate my son’s birthday, but the strict and unreasonable rules completely ruined it. What kind of campground discourages kids from playing and having fun? Isn’t that part of what camping is all about?
If you’re looking for a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, look elsewhere. We certainly won’t...
Read moreWillow Beach is a short drive drive from Las Vegas, about 1hr 15min, and a beautiful escape from the Vegas heat. Its best to get there early to ensure a parking spot, as It can fill up fast. The water is chilly and is the same temp all year round, but it's nice and clear. The riverbank spots to rest vary depending on water height and flow, so pulling over to stretch the legs can be a challenge. Its about 2 miles upstream to get to Emerald Cave and if you've never experienced it I'd say it's a must, There can be a line to go in so be patient. There are amenities to use if you plan on no boating of any kind, again get there early for a shaded spot at a table or shoreline. Bring LOTS OF WATER , it...
