Eagles Bluff Golf Course — Local services in Bowling Green

This is a fabulous "Hole in The Wall" Golf Course. Friends in Eastern Missouri helped me find it during the COVID19 shutdown in Illinois in the Spring of 2020. The friendly staff works their beehinds off to make the Course and amenities worth every hour and penny spent constantly carving out and keeping this place civilized. Prices are very reasonable. The drive to the Course along the River Road is a delightful getaway. I'll be back many times in the future to play here.

For anyone reading my review, I'll be happy to say, "Come play this gem of a golf course!" And be ready to be challenged with length, difficulty, rustic ambiance, ample and smooth greens that are well-protected with bunkers and traps, blind cornered, stonewalled and forested doglegs uphill and down with stupendous views of the Mississippi River Valley downriver and knock-your-knees elevation changes with plenty of water hazards to boot. Abundant wildlife is everywhere along this River Bluff Golf Course.

I've played many highly manicured courses. They are nice. But THIS! This is 18 holes of never-ending fun golf that makes you laugh out loud at your competitor's misshits; makes you cry when you've lost another ball to the forested ravine; makes you satisfied when you've managed to land a shot right on target or par a hole past the water. Take a cart, unless you're a youngster with X-Country knees and a Marathoner's stamina. Put extra balls in the bag...

I'm from seattle Washington where they have a lot of so called "prestige courses" and sometimes thats the case. But this course that I went to and played at yesterday with my Uncle Randy was an absolute beautiful gorgeous course, I love the terrain, the elevation changes, most all of the holes were a lot of fun. The staff was great, very friendly and pricing is very fair. long story short when I come out here to missouri every year or so to visit my family, I will definitely make it a point to come and play golf on this course at least once and possibly a few times every time I come to visit. Thanks for a great course and a wonderful memory with my Uncle Randy that will never be forgotten. Keep up the good work you guys are doing awesome and don't mind the other people's comment of the overgrowth of trees and stuff that's what makes the course fun and if they can't get around it then don't complain and go elsewhere or get better...

Course is very beautiful and could be a top rated course in the right hands. 5he greens today where the disappointment today. By saying that I mean they weren't cut and rolled , they where in awesome shape it's just they weren't cut and tou had to hammer a putt to get it to the hole and ultimately stop 2 ft from the cup. We did finally see maintenance start cutting the greens and when we got to that green it was way better. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience the bar and grill because when we went it had been permanently shut down. Also the carts weren't the best but if I had millions I would throw a bunch of money into getting this course where it used to be.
