Branford Antiques — Local services in Branford

The place has some wonderful pieces that are very eclectic. You might find some African fertility idols, next to theatre posters from Yale, which are across the display from a knights of columbus sword. It truly does have a wonderful collection, however the price points do not seem to have to have consistency. An original art piece from a local artist might be a $125 dollars which is fair, but across from it a framed newspaper comic of Garfield from the mid 00s is also $125. As others have said negotiations might be the way to do business in this but they do not seem to have rhyme or reason.

As for customer service, they seem to be hit or miss and make an immediate assessment when you walk in the door. I was ignored, which I do not mind since they did have the type of piece I was looking for but another customer was followed throughout her time in the store. If I want service, I should either put on a suit or put on a Rolex.

Loved this shop..they had differant vendors i want to say 25. Each space had unique treasures...from furniture to jewelry to cute vintage pocketbooks...i love walking around and seeind all the things from all differant era's...i told my friend just think eaxh piece has a story...every table has seen happy time difficult times and its all still there made with great craftmanship...thinds today are not made like they used to be...i know your reading rhis and thinking oh its someone who works there but truly im just a peraon who walked in one day when i had an extra hour between doctors appointments and found a gem...the women who works there is the nicest lady and is extremely helpful...go check out this place...

Beautiful inventory, poor customer service. I had passed by the store many times and decided to stop in today to browse. Not once was I greeted or even acknowledged by the gentleman working there. I could understand while he negotiated a transaction, but once those customers left he chose to do business with someone that came in to solicit to redo his business cards.
