Superb home cooking in an historic old country store with ice cold beer to boot. Lunch specials: Mon- juicy burgers(available Mon-Sat), Tue-choice of chicken enchiladas, steak tacos, or flautas, Wed-hamburger steak, Thu-chicken fried steak(best you'll ever have), Fri-fried catfish, Sat-burgers. The also serve fresh cold cut or tuna sandwiches from the cooler. Seating in back room. Cold beer, sweet tea, or Cokes. Kitchen is closed on Sunday. Lots of neat history to this little town. Stopped by this historic store many times before, but always after the kitchen closed. Today, after a relaxing drive out on Lone Star Rd./William Penn, we lucked out and caught one of the best homestyle burger in a very long time.
