Stay away from this guy and this business! I have never had a worse experience in my life working with Roger. I brought him a canvas top for my boat to be repaired in January. He took a look at it and told me he would repair it in a couple of weeks and in the spring when the weather warms up we would take a day or two and ensure all the snaps fit. I wrote him a check for half the amount of the job. I checked in with Roger every 3-4 weeks to see how things were going and received almost no info back from him other than to stop being "pushy" and "hounding him". Roger knew I had brought it to him in January to be sure it would be ready in April or May. Sometime in March, Roger told me he would rather do everything in the spring when the weather was warm. Roger chose the day that he wanted me to bring the boat up to him and I told him he could have it for the week and at the end of the week I had scheduled to launch the boat. At this point he had the job for over 4 months! During that week I tried to check in with Roger and got almost no responses. By Friday May 17th he had not touched my job. That day I drove 45 minutes up to his shop where he had left all my canvas outside with a note on his door that he had left for the day. I now have a boat in the water with no way to cover it up. I wasted months of time and ton of effort (and stress) to be sure I had the boat ready for Roger to start working on it. Roger will probably respond to this review by saying I am pushy and unreasonable. This is his MO, because he doesn't want to do his job. It also sad that he was afraid to speak with me and had to lock his shop up and put a note on his door the day I came up to get my canvas and tow my boat home. However, I wanted to share my amazing experience with Roger and his business. I am currently in the process of investing into reupholstering our family wakeboard boat. From the moment I walked into Roger’s business accompanied with my father, we knew we were in the absolute right place for what we wanted done! Roger is an absolute professional in ever sense. The work he has displayed in his shop and the time he took explaining the process to us, demonstrates his unbelievable knowledge and craftsmanship! Roger and his team made a concerted effort to make things right after we got off to a rocky start on the scheduling side of replacing my Mustang's ragtop.
As promised, they got the car in first thing Saturday morning. These guys worked all day (and into the night, 12 hours anyway) to ensure the work was done.
I understand and appreciate the fact that Roger's busy season is kicking in. He did everything possible to make sure the job was done and I was satisfied.
I want everyone who reads this to understand 125 Canvas & Upholstery is the place to go if you need a convertible top replaced, motorcycle seat restored, etc. Roger and his crew will do everything they can to ensure you're satisfied.
