To say this place is amazing is an understatement. The accommodations were very clean and close to everything we wanted to do. The beds were comfortable, and the space was just right for my friend and I. There is a fire pit onsite, which we enjoyed in the evening. Fresh farm eggs were provided, which we enjoyed cooking for breakfast. These features alone would make for a good review. But the icing on the cake was the trail. Keep in mind, this nearly 25 acre property is owned by Khalid and his wife Megan. What they have created here is so special. Megan took the time to greet us shortly after we arrived and was in constant communication with us. Khalid took time chatting with us about the history of the place and how he and his wife have built it up over the past couple of years. We truly felt like we were welcome there as if we were personal guests of theirs. We were encouraged to check out the loop trail that they designed and had built. We thought we might see some trees and hear some birds, but were completely surprised and in awe of the massive rock formations the trail leads you past. There is a staircase that leads you to the top of one of them for some really cool views of the surrounding mountains!! This is not just some little loop trail, folks!! Make a picnic lunch and explore - how cool is it to have your own personal trail!! I definitely recommend this place and look forward to...
Read moreI’d give it 10 stars if I could. It’s easy to locate & well lit, even at night. Several waterfalls are within 40 minutes & less. The accommodations were as advertised. I used a keyless entry & stayed in the Brevard. 2 queens (I think) in a room. A fully stocked (pans, utensils, plates, coffee maker, etc) kitchen & bathroom (towels, soap & other goodies I never bothered to even see. A towel warmer maybe??) additional chairs, comfy couch, Wifi. There’s an ample front porch with table & chairs. No stairs to porch or front door. Private parking spot plus runoff parking & a hose to handle messes. There’s a fire pit with (covered) wood (well rain, right?) & chairs. Conversations with the owners were easy & questions were answered promptly & came with additional thought (so above & beyond customer service. Honestly, if you meet them, you can’t help but love them.) So after feeling COMPLETELY safe &comfy. I learned they had a hiking path I could explore. I won’t ruin it. I was there at the end of May (rainy season). The path was well tended & climbs to the heavens. (well I think that’s where I was) There’s also some additional wonders along the way or so I thought that was just icing...
Read moreIf your looking for a little oasis after a day on the trails biking and hiking, this is the place for you. It’s near DuPont, pretty close to Brevard for restaurants and breweries, extremely clean, comfortable beds, really nice towels and linens, and a fully equipped kitchen (plates, silverware, glasses, refrigerator, microwave, and a Mr Coffee machine). The owners have added some nice extras from heated towel rack to wonderful coffee beans and grinder. Shampoo, soap, hair dryer, toilet paper, paper towels, a lot of different teas, sugar and sugar substitutes, a huge tv with cable were also included! The only thing this cabin didn’t have was an oven. I had no intention of cooking a roast, so no biggie there for me. The location was very quiet with no road noise. It was perfect for our one night stay! We will...
