Maybe I appear repulsive, maybe I have a heavy accent, my experience at hind & fore. I was looking for rib eye and the attendant have a very nasty, aggressive attitude.I decide on 3 rib eye and asked to grinned ONCE for me, he look at me expressing anger, including his tone of voice, he told me no, that the filets were too expensive to grind that he will give me ground meet of different beef stuck ( another worker was standing by exporting a fade smile) he finally took my purchase and disappear on the back. I ask the other guy " is he mixing other stuck?" he said no, I ask him to make sure he grinds just ones,- I been doing this for years- the industry grinds meet 3 times and you end up with meet PASTE, he came back with a packed meet and told me it was grounded 3 times. My fault, I accepted, paid almost $90 for it, when I open it at home, the PASTE did not look like rive eye, I cook it, didn't tasted like rib eye... I think I been had... my fault, can't prove it, but I been eating rib eye plenty to know the difference Take my comments as you might. Should of walkout at the...
Read moreBest chicken, beef, or pork in the area. Nothing beats a real butcher. They’ve been here 60+ years and get the same meat that goes out to all the big NY steakhouses. They don’t have many cuts on display bc they like to cut them made to order for you. They do have a freezer with reasonably priced chuck and high grade ground beef burgers that I love. I go for the charcoal cuts and other cuts they don’t carry at places like Whole Foods, try the oyster cut or something else cool. The owners are so friendly and always remember you and always know the best way to cook it! I’ve been coming here for over a year and have never ever ever been disappointed. Here’s a picture of a whole Pennsylvania Dutch chicken doke in my air fryer...
Read moreI have been visiting Hind & Fore for a decade. It is the real deal as a full service butcher shop. They sell top quality meats, and they can provide any cut, or lesser used ingredients, such as tripe. Or if you have an extra freezer, you can buy a side of beef for the best value. They carry pie, cheesecakes, ice cream, sauces, and other pantry items. Also, so many kinds of sausages, most are made on site, others from local sources. I once brought a recipe for a Swedish sausage and they made a batch just for me. Now, they carry it routinely - very...
