Adams County Fair: Wasn't a fit for us. We arrived at 10:30 am, having read on the website that the inside exhibits would be open at 10 am. We were able to look at entered paintings and quilts. What was off to me so that the pieces were not named and didn't have a blurb about their background which I've seen at other fairs. It's nice to have a little background to what inspired the artist. The larger exhibit room with 4H didn't open until noon, despite the website's posting of 10 am. The other exhibit hall had some exhibitors like a local bee club but several of those exhibits were unstaffed like the disaster response table. The bee club was hopping and interesting. Food wasn't really available, maybe one place. Customer service booth wasn't staffed at 11:30 a.m. when we left. Plenty of parking. Website said we had to pay but we didn't but maybe we were...
Read moreAVOID, AVOID, AVOID. From rude parking lot attendants, rude food vendors, to rude ride attendants. Badly organized all around. They have ticket machines which nobody uses because they don't work, so you have to wait 30 minutes in line (they only have 2 lines- card/cash). Also food vendors really are rude, don't accept cards half the time even though I checked they did before getting in line for 20 mins. Also leaving event, was yelled at to go around the loop even though the "entrance" was 5 feet from me. And as soon as I did, they changed their mind and started allowing cars to leave through the entrance. I had to wait 1:30 hours to leave. ALL AROUND HORRIBLE ORGANIZATION SKILLS. Will...
Read moreThe Adams County Fair is an absolute disaster. No parking due to their “construction” project, horrible crowd management, and just an all around miserable experience. The excessive and hostile police presence was disconcerting and rather irritating considering they did nothing but stand around and police kids for cutting lines in the carnival. Amusement Midway Providers has also decreased their quality and variety of rides while allowing their operators to treat customers poorly. Adams County should find a more family friendly midway that provides quality rides and operators as many of the Weld County fairs have. The carnival was pleasant enough, but the fair itself is...
