I started to write a bad review over my lifelong commitment to my once local Party Store over my own disrespect to the employees and owners brother. I call during a rush on a Sunday before football to ask a question, so you know it's busy before kick off and fans being able to be back together. Well just like always I was shown by Chris such respect with a call back that I didn't deserve. Covid made me grumpy along with workers who didn't stop working. I worked for my fiance at the Party Store he ran the beginning of all this. Back to life as we know it was a great reminder. Glad the store was so busy. I moved away but need to stop in more. Purchased a $50 bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, only to get home and find that it was bad. The cork did not expand after opening, there is no carbonation, and the taste is sour. All indicators of a spoiled champagne. This business does not store the bottles properly either, as they are stored vertically instead of horizontally. Called the store, politely explained the situation, and asked if we could exchange the bottle (not return, not get anything else, simply try another bottle of the same champagne since we spent $50 on it.) The answer was no. We left the property, so therefore we are SOL for lack of a better term. Have been coming to this store for years, I have never ever had any issues until today. The old bald guy with blue eyes & a very round stomach (never seen him there before) first he screams at my son, my son almost started crying, so I called to let him know that you shouldn’t EVER yell at another persons child. You address the parent in the parent will handle it! Well, he hung up on me, so I went back in so he could apologize to my son & so that I could ask to speak to the owner. Not only did he kick me out, he tried to intimidate me by looking at me like he was going to hit me. He refused to give me his name, but I will be going back to speak to the owner.
