Nice Place
This is my third stop here. Why? 1. It’s close 2. They have good food. Today I tried the 2x2x2 Breakfast. Two eggs, two pieces of meat, and two pancakes. I must admit the size was a little on the small side concerning the pancakes but it was all executed very well and the flavors were there. Eggs scrambled nicely not runny or dry, sausage appeared to be cooked ahead of time but not burnt or dried out, pancakes small but fluffy dollar size goodness. I must admit Pipers has some competitive prices now and it makes me happy to put them back in the top places to go right now. Coffee wasn’t too bad either.
Atmosphere Pipers is located on Telegraph between Van Horn & Vreeland Roads in Flat Rock Mi. They have plenty of booths throughout the restaurant. There is even a small bar to sit at. Plenty of windows and removable upper partitions between the booths to make room for larger groups
Noise Level Very quiet only noise was conversations. There is no television. Threre used to be individual jukeboxes at each table but have been removed years ago.
Meal The 2x2x2 Breakfast with Coffee $4.29 with coffee $1.99. Total cost $6.66 on Friday the 13th too
Wheelchair Access The restaurant is at street level. Handicap parking is to the side of the restaurant but often you may get lucky and grab a parking space right in front of the door. The solid wood doors are pretty but heavier than most. There is no official handicapped seating as there are mainly booths.
My Rating: 2 Star Ratings range from zero to four stars. Zero is poor, One star, good. Two stars, very good. Three stars, excellent. Four stars, extraordinary (almost...
Read moreYesterday was my first time there my boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch. We waited 20 minutes before someone finally brought us just a glass of water and that’s after my boyfriend had to get up and ask for them to please bring us something to drink! He was upset because he was watching other people come in after us, and they were serving them and ignoring us which he brought to their attention. From the time we walked in, we felt discriminated against! Felt like we walked into some kind of a private club where we weren’t welcomed! Then we had to wait another 30 minutes just for them to bring us some overpriced mushrooms and french fries we didn’t even order a meal. Everything was extremely overpriced. Then around midnight, I woke up vomiting, my brains out, and it was the only food I had eaten that day!!!! Now I’ve been sitting here all day long sicker than a dog thanks to them. I think because my boyfriend spoke up, they did something intentional to our food to cause us to get sick. We felt so extremely unwelcome. I wish we would’ve turned around and walked out. Definitely do not recommend this place and will not ever be...
Read moreWe visited today for a late breakfast/lunch. Has been several years since hubby and I have eaten here and the decor is unchanged. First, prices are above average for breakfast choices (pancakes over 9.00 and side of meat additional 5.00) We decided to forgo breakfast and had a pot pie with a side salad (11.99 for pot pie and 3.29 for side salad) which was not bad considering we saw basic breakfast items very high in price. The food was good, no complaints with what we did order. The turn off was the manager on duty and the way she handled a young man asking for assistance in using the phone and offering to pay just to gwt picked up. I understand that this maybe their policy however, a more professional and polite route could have been chosen to lessen the embarrassment on this gentleman. Then watching her lecture the waitress who felt bad added to a situation that should not have happened especially in front of paying customers. People no matter what their situation is should be treated respectfully especially when they are being respectful to you. Turned us off from...
