We had the worst experience at Findlay recently. We took our Malibu in two different times for the same issue dieing loss of power while driving. We had our car towed in the day before I called the service department to confirm it was delivered. The adviser said they received it and would be looking at it in the morning for my 7am appointment. I never heard back from them though out the day. I called them after 3 pm for an update. They said they would need to call me back. Long story short is they lost my car. I had to explain what my keys looked like and the info of my car to patti. I asked what about my appointment. They just assumed I was a no show without calling. They ended up having my car for close to a week the 1st time. Stating they fixed the issue. After I picked it up it was back in there shop two days later. Same issue car dieing loss of power while driving. They then said this time it was bad fuel and needed to drain my tank. I told patti where I got the fuel. Mavrick on the parkway and in golden valley the day before. I found out they drained it and patti said they got gas from Mavrick on the parkway. I had to remind her that was part of the possible problem if it was bad gas. She then changed her story saying she got it somewhere else. I asked her then if that is the case please provide the receipt showing proof that you didn't put possible bad gas again in to my car that you just drained the tank for. It took them days just to drain my tank for them just to mess it up. I got fed up with there service all all the issues. I asked to get my car ready for pick up and I would be taking it to another shop. I asked patti to prove the proof of the receipt for the fuel when I picked it up. She said it would be ready for me when I picked up the car. When I went there to pick up the car patti was gone. And clearly there was no receipt for me. I asked for a manager to call me the next morning because they have gone home for the day. Because I was very upset on this whole ordeal. I did receive a call back and he said sorry for patti bad service. And refunded the cost of my fuel being drained. I had them also fill out a form for the bad gas for the fuel station to look into. Their shop put the wrong cars info it was someone else info with our name on the form. The service manager had to have them do it again. I used to use them in the past and they were good. Now I will go else where. I don't understand why she would lie to me in the first place. Just say...
Read moreUpdated review 09/22/21 After the original review, the vehicle once again displayed electrical problems. This would mark 7 out of 15 days of the truck being in the shop from the day I took delivery. The management team reached out and did what they could to get me into a new truck. I’m happy with my replacement vehicle and now can feel safe with my family. Kelly(service), John(sales), Haydn(finance) and Michael(delivery) are highly professional and will recommend them to any anyone. They all went way above and beyond to get this issue fixed and make it right.
I still feel the same about sales management unfortunately.
————-Original review date(09/17/21): Revised 9/19/21* This is my second run-around at this specific dealership and wanting to have a change of heart to shop for a new truck was given.
I personally think the sales management team is a big let down when it comes to 2 people specifically. If you don’t want your credit profile absolutely destroyed then I highly suggest moving onto another dealership, other than Findlay. Was told verbally and through text that we will run a credit check through one bank and one bank only. As we agreed and met in person under those circumstances, I sat and watched my credit be ran over 28 times.
Secondly, the truck I had purchased had major issues relating to the software within the truck, only 15 days after purchase. Not a problem with Findlay. But rather a problem with the fact that this issue had nearly taken my life, losing all power at 40+ mph, then proceeded to watch the service technician the following morning take it for a test drive. You would think he would take what I said into consideration that just maybe you don’t have to hammer the gas to test if it powers off or not at speeds of 65+mph. The way the truck was handled before my eyes was embarrassing. His exact words were, “when we took it off-road, it died on us and I was like.. oh sh*t!” Truck was also taken off-road without my permission.
I do although want to give a big thank you to John Wilson, Hayden and the rest of the sales team for the awesome customer service throughout this process, but unfortunately I will not not doing business again with Findlay due to the lack of professionalism I had received through-out the other departments...
Read moreVery late review but you'll see why. I bought a used car from them over 10 years ago. Within the first month it has so many issues and kept dying. I went to have the battery changed and they told me the inside was so corroded they couldn't touch it. So I called the dealership several times and told them even the paint was washing off when I took it to the car wash and they laughed. Finally I couldn't get the car started so somebody had the jump start it and I took it back for them to look at it. The car was a lemon and they ended up trading it out for a different car for me but I had to run my credit again cuz it was past the time frame of the original loan and they charged me more money and interest for the second car. This is still not the reason why I'm giving them a bad review. I used to do a lot of driving and took my car in for an oil change about 2 months after I bought it. The guy doing my oil change came out and told me I needed to get a new timing belt ASAP because it was completely dry rotted and ready to break and if I drove off the lot without changing the timing belt I could break down. He said well go ahead and start changing it for you. It's going to be $380. I told him that didn't make sense because the car only had 6,000 miles on it and he said well you are in the desert so it needed to be changed. I called a friend to ask them what they thought and he said they're lying to you. There's no way the car needs a new timing belt. So I did not allow them to do it even though the guy argued with me forever. For years I was worried that the timing belt would break because I didn't know anything about these things at the time. Well fast forward to over 100,000 mi later and I had the water pump replaced and they said they can replace the timing belt also and there were still no cracks or dry rot to the timing belt after all these years. They tried to con me out of hundreds of dollars for a part that didn't need replaced on a car with only 6,000 mi on it when they sold it to me. They probably thought they can get away with it because I was a young single mom purchasing a vehicle by myself. I'm still waiting for a refund on that gap insurance they sold me on...
