Bovan Floral Group — Local services in Burton

This review dates back to Oct 9, of 2021, however I feel the same today as when I started to write this review back in early November.

For the second time within a three-year and a half year period my wife and I choose to go to Bentley Florist. Because of the positive experience we had with Bentley’s approximately three and a half years ago, Bentley Florist was again our first choice.

My wife and I came in with her brother and his girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon and we worked with Dawn, who on very short notice and a limited selection of flowers due to our requesting the flowers for the Monday morning funeral worked diligently and creatively, to gain an idea of the floral designs we wanted, and the budget we had to work with. We never felt rushed to choose during the process and Dawn was great, suggesting different ideas, concepts and colors, while being aware of our budget. We used the books of sympathy arrangements for a basic idea, and let Dawn and the Bentley Florist Personnel use their individual and collective creative skills to create the arrangements from the templates we chose.

We were very happy upon viewing the four arrangements that were finalized and delivered before the Monday morning service. It can be a little scary without knowing exactly how each arrangement would look, however we were not disappointed. We would choose Bentley Florist whenever we wanted flowers in the Flint, Burton area for sure. My wife and I live in the Port Huron Area and would consider driving to Burton if we wanted flowers in our Blue Water Area because of the quality of the assistance and the arrangements created by Bentley Florist. We rate Bentley Florist a Plus 5 on the google review if only five stars were allowed. A special thank you again to Dawn and all of the Bentley Florist Design Team who worked with us. Your compassion and work made two difficult funerals in the past three plus years that much easier for us, thank you once again for going above and beyond our expectations. As a note we also again thank Dawn for going above and beyond the normal work day to assist us when one of our party left behind a personal belonging that needed to be retrieved.

We had always worked with Mary’s Bouquets and Gifts, however due to their being busy enough that they could not create our arrangements we went to Bentley Florist and Gifts, following good reviews posted and good reviews I had personally heard from others. I was happy to hear of Mary’s doing well and happy to have discovered for myself the attitude and the work of the Bentley Florist staff especially Karen who worked with us from start to finish. Working within our budget and a very short time frame Karen assured us that the funeral arrangements would be delivered early the next morning which created a long night of work for her. This was also the Thursday before Mother’s Day weekend and Bentley Florist and Gifts personal were extremely busy creating other funeral floral arrangements, Mother’s Day arrangements and corsages for upcoming proms.

Karen took time that was in short supply for both of us and worked with our Dad, my Wife and I to create three very beautiful arrangements within our budget. Being a little apprehensive regarding if and how the flowers would arrive all three of us and my two brothers, their families, and family and friends that viewed the flowers all agreed that Karen and Bentleys did an outstanding job. Two of the arrangements that were from my wife and I are still providing us with fragrance and beauty from the visitation.

We all agreed that Karen and Bentleys came through for us and that we will make them our first stop for any arrangements we need in the Flint area in the future. I again thank Karen and Bentleys Florist and Gifts, for making a very difficult time much easier and for providing arrangements that exceeded our expectations. Dawn at Bentley Florist was amazing in helping with a funeral (all done over the phone)! It has been my experience to give direction, but let designers take it from there to create something amazing and within a budget.

The pictures will show: For the coffin we asked for ‘winter, nature, greenery’. From the children we asked for something with ‘golf’ since their dad loved playing golf with them. From the grandchildren we asked for something with ‘fishing’ since Grandpa always enjoyed fishing with them. We also asked for 2 green wreaths to match the coffin, but to have a gathering of daisies (that was used when they were married).

The funeral was in Davison and the flowers were delivered on time and within budget. Being a small funeral with just family and close friends - EVERYONE commented on how beautiful and perfect each arrangement was(who does that at funerals?)

I recently ordered flowers from here to cheer my boyfriend up when I was roughly 80 miles away. It was a spur of the moment decision that I made at around midnight on a Friday. When morning came around, I called to make sure that I didn’t sleepily make a mistake and they were really understanding and answered all of my questions. I called around 8, when they opened up. At 11, I got an email saying that the roses were delivered to his job. Little did he know, I was driving to him later that day. When I arrived at his job, I saw the vase and 3 vibrant, supple roses in the perfect arrangement. His coworkers were telling me that he was smiling like he won the lottery.
