I went to have a necklace (chain) repaired which I had broken a month ago. Didn't know anywhere out here to take it until I found Porter's! It's ran by a married couple, though can't recall their names, but they were so nice and friendly and the place is very quaint, not much to it actually. But I felt totally comfortable in leaving my beautiful necklace in their hands. They went on to show me the price of gold these days, which is unbelievable and also to point out a link that was about to break that I'd not seen. Overall, a lovely experience! I visited this store recently needing a watch battery. It was closing time and wasn't sure if I could get it done. The owner was more than happy to do it. As a veteran, she thanked me for my service and wished me a merry Christmas. And did not charge me for my battery. It may seem like not so much of a big deal, but to me, it was.
