Rolling View Swimming Access — Local services in Butner

I'm not sure if we just got lucky but it was very quiet when we went there and the lake was Serene. The water was warm with some cooler ebb and Flow, in late august. Beautiful views, and public tables and shade under the trees was awesome. The only reason I didn't give it 5 Stars was because unfortunately Some Humans decided to leave some garbage like wrappers and cigarettes...

There's a modest beach and playground. The bathrooms are about what you would expect at a campground; neither terrible or remarkable. The picnic tables get flooded regularly due to the damn releases and Corps of Engineers management. Overall it isn't a bad place to swim or putz around (watch out for water mocasins though), just not worth the fee...

the water was warm, nice little loop trail, not much of a crowd when we went. Nice for a day out with family. Definitely could use a little better clean up of plastic or some type of recycling. Went to the fishing pier, where we found fishing line and they have a recycling tube for it but it was filled...
