Rolling View campground is a very nice facility. We have stayed here on several outings since we purchased our Class A motorhome September 2018. It has become one of our go to place since its only three hours from our home in New Bern NC. There are nice wooded semi private sites mostly off of the Falls Lake. Roads are paved, sites are gravel with varied degrees of level. Fire rings and picnic tables are located at each site. RV sites have 30 and a 10 amp receptacles. There is also water located at each site.
The general appearance of the park very pretty. It has rolling hills surrounded by beautiful hardwood forrest with lots of wildlife including birds, grey squirrels, rabbits, deer and others. It's a very peaceful, pleasant place to unwind. There is a fishing pier located on B loop.
We haven't used any of the bath/shower facilities so I can't comment on those. There is a sewer dump located near the park entrance. Unless you want to do multiple setups I would highly recommend a portable potty tank for convenience.
Overall I would have rate the park Five Stars. I only chose Four because 50 amp service would be a great option for units with multiple AC unit operation during very hot weather! Unfortunately, larger RVs do get quite warm with high temps but are still manageable if start cooling early morning so you can help get past the peak high...
Read moreWe stayed at Rolling View Campground, a campground that I didn’t even know existed and I have lived in the surrounding areas my entire life. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and I would definitely stay at this campground again. That being said, theres only 2 things that I can say negatively about the campground. Number one, although the bath houses were clean the bath houses need to desperately be updated. Number two, the sites don’t have trash cans, I don’t mind taking the trash bags to the dumpster, but a trash can on the site with a lid would be a nice touch to hold the bags until you take them to the dumpster, especially to keep the raccoons out of the trash. But, other than these two things, it’s a really great campground, it’s quiet, peaceful and all of the sites have an abundance of shade. The spacing between sites is really nice and definitely give you a sense of privacy. It’s a nice little hidden gem of...
Read moreLOVE this place! As I'm still awaiting to move to Wilmington,my children were getting bored in the hotel so I thought camping via tent btw, would be nice. We had 24 access to the lake and RIGHT by the pier as well, with a BEAUTIFUL view of the lake, kids swam at Swim Beach where life jackets were plentiful through 8pm as staff made sure kids were ok and kept eyes on everyone to ensure safety, and although it was very hot,we actually slept well in our tents with the sides to vent cool night air. This kept my teen boys off Xbox and all electronic devices bc there is no Wi-Fi as i found that a PLUS! It's ab 25$ a night w power and water,18 without.Bathhouses were clean, handicap needs are exceeded for those who need, playground on the beach area AND one close to campers, and staff members were exceptional. We will certainly return bc hey,it beats hotel prices and has the most beautiful views and the kids are kept busy in...
