Sales experience good. Installation experience unbelievably bad in approx 36 x 36 room. Carpet as measured by Pierce was about 6 inches too narrow for the area, leaving a gap between it and the next room. During installation at the installer's suggestion we had to rush to buy a board to use as a transition thtough a doorway to the carpet in another room to make up the difference. The right angle edges of that unfinished board protrude above the carpet and obviously will be damaged by walking over it in no time at all. The edging boards were placed in doorways and transitions to other rooms with the tacks coming through the carpet into one's feet. The carpet was laid next to the edges of a decending stairwell loosely on edging board alone, allowing one to see the edging board, pad and carpet when descending the stairs. Overall, it looked like we bought the carpet on a street corner and followed DIY internet instructions to install it ourselves as first timers. Called Pierce of course. Manager very nice on phone, promised call back shortly. No call back that day. Massive stress from trusting to Pierce for professionism, regardless of any eventual redress. There was incorrect measurement, incorrect planning for the installation as the new carpet transitioned to other spaces and then an incorrect installation itself. Best experience buying flooring! This was my 3rd time with this store! The store has a lot to choose from and my salesperson, Leah Crossman, was just wonderful. On my 1st carpet install, she worked hard to get me an installer on my spur of the moment request! I walked in on Monday, ordered on Tuesday and she kept in touch with me the entire time. She really did move heaven and earth to get my floors at the best price and installed on my crazy timeline! The carpet was installed on Thursday early afternoon by a very professional and diligent installer!! Highly personalized service! She was just wonderful with my then 3 year old granddaughter who was with me most of the time! She also assisted me with my 2nd carpet purchase and install. All in all a fantastic experience.
