We are from Illinois, and of the 10 or so haunted houses we’ve been to, this one was by far the scariest. Particularly due to the ongoing confusion of wrong turns and dead ends in complete darkness. Beware of a great deal of uneven, unclear path terrain in darkness, I walked into a creek by mistake when being urged to run by the spooks. SPOILER: At the very end, there was a machine that made an extremely loud and high frequency blast of sound, in addition to a chainsaw guy that cornered us for awhile, both of which quite deeply upset my wife. Read moreThis is a haunt that does okay with the actors. The prop and set work are average. The crowd management was not good. This was a haunt that premium line and a regular line. They will take the premium line first, this results in the regular line sitting at a standstill until closing time approaches then they try to cram everybody in. Seriously need to realize that you have to take a few people from the regular line here and there if you don’t want a problem towards the end. There were some good scares in this haunt, but nothing was stand out. This haunt might be worth the stop if you are at one of the other Canyon City haunts but I would not go out of my way...
