I came into last Saturday for an oil change, tire rotation and 2 recalls having to do with the back up camera. I picked up my car and drove it home approximately 1.5 hours later. I didnt drive it on Sunday, but when I started to go to work Monday am approximately 615 am, it wouldnt start. The outside/interior lights came on, and the fan worked, but the dash wouldnt light up. Also, the lights wouldnt turn off. I called my son who is an automotive/diesel mechanic who told me to check the battery terminals. The ground wire wasnt locked into place, but pushing it down till I heard the click, didnt change the above. Everytime that I tried starting the car, the lights wouldnt shut off, so I had to keep unhooking the ground to get them to shut off. I missed a day of work, which I never do having to wait to speak with someone at Slingerlands. When I finally got a hold of service, I spoke with a man who was pleasant. We lost connection, and the service manager, a woman, called me back. She told me that I needed to take it to Randy Wise where I purchased the car, for them to look at it as they couldnt fit me in for 2 weeks! They insisted that their service wasnt the fault of the battery issue. Well, I hadnt been under the hood, and they were the last to work on it. I hadnt had one issue prior. My son, the automotive/diesel tech had to call them as the manager was so rude. He explained that the tech there may have accidentally bumped it or something. Slingerland's wouldnt make it right or assist. I am extremely upset as I missed a day of work, had to pay for towing as the road side charged me for over the miles they covered, and the rude behavior of the manager. Plus, why would I have to wait 2 weeks for an issue that happened after they were under my hood. I would love to speak with the owner as the manager refused to make it right. I told them I had to have a car to get back and forth to work, and they said they dont do loaners. It took Randy Wise approximately 30-40 minutes to fix the issue. I wonder what happened to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwful experience there trying to buy a Jeep. I was in a month ago hoping to buy a used compass after a family friend got a wrangler there earlier in the week. I test drove the car and said I wanted to talk pricing, but they immediately told me the used car was out of my budget and I should look at a brand new car for more āincentivesā. Liked the new car as well, but instead of giving me a quote, they did a credit check on me first and told me I was not āapprovedā due to my credit score and debt/income ratio. I had not even agreed on a price yet and they denied me. I even showed my online credit report to show them I had good credit and they said theyād call me back Monday. I believe they didnāt want to take on my old Chrysler 200 that I still owed on, but wouldnāt be honest with me. The sales person also knew nothing about the compass and repeatedly called me the wrong name... I felt disrespected and disappointed. Terrible service overall. Went to a GM dealer in Davison right after and they gave me the price I wanted on a Cherokee, an even better Jeep, and bought it that day. They only checked my credit after we agreed on pricing, like it should be done. I would warn anyone to stay FAR away from...
