You may know the town of Cameron, North Carolina for its biannual antiques street fair that draws people from all over the country. Now there’s another reason to visit! The owners of the Old Hardware Vintage Depot have opened the Dewberry Café (formerly known and loved as the Dewberry Deli). The café is located on the bottom floor of the building and has a classic diner feel. They serve breakfast and lunch, including a variety of dewberry delights, like these dewberry pancakes. When you’re done eating, make sure to head up the stairs for some antique and vintage shopping. It’s easier than ever to spend a whole day in the town of Cameron! Dewberry Café’s operating hours (check their Facebook page for the most up-to-date information): Wednesdays-Sundays 7:00-8:00am: Take-out breakfast only 8:00-11:30am: Breakfast 11:30am-3:30pm: Lunch #sandhillsnc #moorecountync #cameronnc #pinehurstnc #southernpinesnc #visitnc #northcarolina

Beautiful historic building. The vignettes were beautifully decorated. I was there during the Cameron antique festival. It was very busy. Would like to go back when there are not so many people. Most of the booths were displayed like a magazine. I did find the prices to be on the high end of retail...especially for a small town in the middle of nowhere. Definitely worth a trip if you just want to spend some time browsing or not a lover of the deal like me. I would not recommend going downstairs if you have any trouble walking. I can imagine it would be hard to maneuver.

We ate at the Cafe on Saturday night! We loved our ribeyes with potatoes (mine were seasoned, diced potatoes and my husband had the baked potato with beer cheese) and asparagus. The asparagus was cooked perfect! The ribeyes were seasoned well and the chef even came out to check to make sure the temperature was perfect. We will return!

We attended the antiques fair both days in May 2019. Anything there that was actually antique (it's mostly craftique) was so over priced it wouldn't sell anyway. Most items have been sitting unsold for so long the writing on the price tag has faded away.

The grouchy old woman at the counter approached me on sight and kicked me out of the store because I use a rollator. (A walker with wheels all the way around) I say 'on sight' because I'd been shopping there for some time and interacting with other employees before she saw me. *She said the rollator "takes up too much room". I was definitely not taking up more room than a customer with a couple bags. I guess I was just in the way of her being rude to other customers, which observation tells me is her job here.

If you are disabled or different from her, expect to be hassled if not kicked out. There are many other non-insulting places to shop, and anywhere has better prices.

However, if you haven't yet had your daily dose of "you aren't good enough to shop here, get out" this is the place to go.

*It is a violation of state and federal law for a business to deny service or access to a person because of...

Half store. Half museum? A nice store and nice folks. My 3 star rating is for their item selection / (lack of) product turn over. Meaning, I've been going there with my wife for 2 to 3 years now. There are still the same items there right now that I remember from the very beginning. The prices are up there too. So I can't tell you to go and expect to find any great deal. Evidently, they'd rather having it sitting there. But it's also a reason for not going back any time soon...and that can't be...
