Everyone’s got there bad wedding stories. I’m sure mine tops yours. The day itself was beautiful and we had a fun night thanks to our DJ and Photographer. Wish I could say for the wedding venue. To shorten the VERY long list of issues we had; here are the few major ones: Original date was in June, more expensive because of wedding season and Saturday night, had to reschedule because I got pregnant, changed to October and a Friday night. Same price, no discount Wedding coordinator missed a meeting of ours (30 minutes from our house) asks us to come back and is late when we do Never helped out with cake and flowers, which was included in our package Never gave us a food tasting, which was mentioned to us from day 1 Tried to change prices on us because “prices changed in 2013” never gave us our original SIGNED contract price, “worked” with us and split the difference Tried to change our rehearsal time, two weeks prior to it Assistant to wedding coordinator was trying to talk about another bride in front of me and ends up offending me because she didn’t know she was in fact talking about me. Wedding coordinator and assistant talked for 20 minutes while my bridesmaids struggled on my bustle on my dress, comes over and tells me this is why she tells brides to make sure they learn it Tells our DJ to stop playing music an hour before our contact time ended, and shut the bar down early I email the manager, he says he is stunned and is taking my letter very seriously, will be talking to her and getting back to me. Emails me back and tells me she is upset and thinks that she could have handled some situations better but there were many borderline and intoxicated people at the wedding reception(LIE, no one was THAT drunk) Says nothing about any of the insults or time, pricing, etc., when I ask again in an email back, he tells me he is sorry again and wishes us a healthy and happy life.

I have played private for many years, then got off the course for the last 10. I want to say that everyone at this course was courteous and friendly. The food was terrific, the beer cart was great and frequent and the bar/clubhouse was great. The track is really fun, we all enjoyed it. The greens are very difficult in my opinion, to read and play. Lots of pitch to the back, some weird approaches when pin is up front. Distances off the tee were accurate. The three of us played on Friday in 4.5 hours. Front 9, they had a couple too many groups out there. We had to wait on every shot besides for the post par 3 holes. The back nine lost a couple of groups, so it was pretty smooth with no one on either side. Teed off at about 1.30. We are relatively long hitters and the course allowed us to mix up driver and three wood off the tee. I think the course is slowed by the difficulty of the greens for the higher handicappers. Watching the group up front, there was a lot of chipping and putting going on. Think that they could have picked up a few times. One suggestion would be for a cheat sheet from the pro shop to give us some insight into where not to leave the approach around the greens. Without any prior knowledge it was impossible to stop some chips or puts with the pin placements, ( on the back i tried 6 times to get a put to stay within 6-10 feet, finally left it a greasy 3 on the side) Will definitely be back, loved the layout and now that I know it, I am sure I will score better ;-)... I have been playing golf at Candia Woods since the early 1980's and have seen many positive changes to staff, food items and of course the golf course itself. There are several golfers in our group that agree that Candia woods offers the best value and playing conditions of any semi private course in the greater Manchester/Concord area. Our membership continues to grow with new members added each month. These members typically come from other courses in the local area for the same reasons....quality and value..It's great to be a member at Candia Woods and to also have the access to their sister course (the Oaks) in Somerswothe, NH.. I played Candia Woods today October first the courses and phenomenal condition at Candia Woods have not played The Oaks yet this year Michaela behind the bar he's very observant of her customers to make sure they get everything that they need beverages food Etc I have been here for this long because of the service an extraordinary pricing to play golf and to have lunch afterwards I do actually get takeout because their burgers are the best around actually all of the food that I have tried is the best around Bill behind the bar does a great job as well can't say enough about the venue...
