Cannon Valley Fair — Local services in Cannon Falls

We have been coming to this derby for years. We drive about an hour and a half from north of the cities because the derby has always delivered. This year, started 40 minutes late, and just went down hill from there. Didn’t seem to be timing out vehicles, taking some vehicles apart but leaving others stuck on the wall, huge pauses towards the end of each heat, grading the track after every heat?? Rediculous. We paid $85 for 4 adults and 1 child to sleep though almost the entire derby. We love a good derby, but this was not it. This is supposed to be entertaining. Stands we very close to empty when we left at 9. Adding cannon falls to the growing list of derbies we no...

Nice county fair. Lots of good choices. Lots of seating throughout and covered seating when you want to get out of the sun. The grandstand even has a covered portion. Rides for kids. Free shuttle to and from parking area, which is conveniently located just outside grandstand area if you're taking in one of the events there. Plan to get to grandstand early for best seating as it really filled up for the demo derby we attended.

Limited food options outside grandstand so you may want to get food elsewhere on fair grounds ahead of time.

Even found one lemonade stand selling bottled water for $1.

Good time...

This is a small but quaint fair. It has rides and games for the kids and has a grandstand. Nice fair that we have gone to for years. The animals and exhibits are fun to see as well. Since it is small it is great for little legs :) Parking this year was a bit ridiculous. Not because there wasn't enough space but because the attendants allowing people in would take 5 minutes to get a car in. There wasn't enough room for a car to pass them on their way out... enough room there for a two way but they basically made...
